At the Home of Club Golf ⛳️ today 17 players took to the fairways for today's Stableford competition.

Twas the day of the Club Captain Josh Ferrier today with a wonderful round of even par and a score of 43 points. Josh was exquisite all round which included 6 birdies, played skipper.

Runner up in A Grade was Matthew Cooper who is also enjoying some great form similar to his beloved Blues.

B Grade was a tight contest with James Davis scoring a wonderful 39 points just getting over Alan Wood who finished with 38. James Davis has been scoring quite well of a late and that form clearly carried onto today's round.

C Grade was again Rob Downie taking the win scoring 31 points with David Thomas on 30 points.

Nearest to the pins were Jeremy Culver on the 3rd with The Postman Kelvin Stone closest on the 6th.

Goodluck to our OGC boys playing at Richmond tomorrow.

Well another OGC Golf trip has been run & done for 2026.

15 OGC members headed off Friday with Andrew Dean behind the wheel 🚌 to enjoy a weekend of Golf, mates, laughter & maybe a beer 🍺 or 🍻

Friday the boys enjoyed the hospitality of the Launceston Golf Club enjoying wonderful conditions.

Saturday it was the Mowbray Golf Club for an early morning hit with the evening at X Golf Launceston.

After another reasonably quiet night Saturday the boys rose early feeling extremely fresh 🙌🏻 hitting the road with a stop ✋️ at the Campbell Town GC for a final 9 holes.

This year's Gold Jacket winner was Andrew Dean who finished with 78 points Todd Baker second with 72 points & Club Captain Josh Ferrier rounding out the top 3 back on 67 points.

Another successful trip once again all the ground work & organisation was done by the wonderful Ange Bowerman - Travel & Cruise. For all your travel needs please do yourself a favour and contact Ange.

What a magical day today at The Home of Club Golf ⛳️

Today we had 24 players hit to course as 15 of our members are currently partaking the 2026 OGC Golf trip to Launceston. Report to be submitted tomorrow evening.

Today was a stableford & 4BBB competition with some very close results.

Today's overall winner & A Grade winner 🏆 was Jeremy Culver who i must say is in wonderful form. JC who not that long ago was known universally as OGC worst putter. Many long hours on the putting surface has worked wonders. On a few occasions Today JC was doing a 🐅 Woods walking straight to the hole to collect his ball, he actually took more steps on the 18 greens than he took on the rest of the course. Well played Jeremy.

Rohan Barwick also striking the ball well finished with 37 points with Michael Isles 34 & Tim McShane 33.

B Grade was also a very tight contest with Richard Piesse getting the win over The Big V on countback both with 35 points. Glen Bailey & Pete Burrill both on 34.

C Grade saw Mark Thomas with 27 points get a 1 point win over Dan Kelly aka Sean Schofield brother of Matt/Ned on 26 points with Australian Champion & Current No.1 ranked player in the whole wide world 🌎 Stephen Lockey on 19. Great to have you back Stephen.

Speaking of great to have you back, Ian Richardson back on deck after a spell grabbed both nearest the Pins today all while trying to keep Graeme French in check.

Our 4BBB competition saw uncle Nigel Hamilton Smith & David Thomas with 43 points get the win. Back in 2nd in a countback were Michael Isles & Byron Howard with 42 points & Jeremy Culver & Rohan Barwick also 42 points. Tim McShane & Jeremy Pennicott back on 41.

Considering the rain of late the course was again in wonderful condition many thanks to our wonderful volunteers.

Stay safe keep warm & Happy birthday King Charles 🤴 💖

At The Home of Club Golf ⛳️ we are so very lucky to have so many wonderful organisations/businesses that kindly support OGC.

Today we salute 🫡 AWN.

The Oatlands Golf Club (OGC) is proud to officially welcome the AWN Livestock and Property (AWN) as a major sponsor.

A 100% Australian-owned business, AWN brings a deep understanding of rural life to our club, reinforcing our shared roots in the Southern Midlands.

AWN is dedicated to helping grassroots sporting clubs, which serve as the heartbeat of regional towns. To mark the start of this collaboration, AWN’s Livestock and Property Manager Cade Ebdon recently met with Club President Tom Burbury to present a cheque.

President Tom Burbury expressed his gratitude, noting that the funds will be used directly to enhance the club's condition and equipment, ensuring the "Home of Club Golf" remains a premier destination for all.
A Unique "Injection" Back to the Club

AWN offers extensive services across wool, livestock, and property. In a unique commitment to the OGC community, AWN has pledged that for any new client from the club who sells livestock or property through them, a direct financial injection will be made back into the golf club.

Pictured also is AWN’s Property Representative Andrew “Gus” Dean with committee member Phil McConnon with the new club shirts.

"We are thrilled to be on board with the Oatlands Golf Club," says Cade Ebdon. "We value the connection between the products we market and the communities that produce them.

Helping grassroots clubs like Oatlands is our way of giving back to the people who support the Australian wool, livestock and property industry every day."

Next time you see the AWN logo around the clubhouse or on the tee, join us in thanking them for their incredible support of our club.

It's people & businesses like AWN that
