What a weekend at the 2026 Metro South Regional Championships! ❤️💙

Our Level 3, 4, 5 and 7 gymnasts delivered a fantastic weekend of competition, with strong performances, standout individual results and plenty of team success.

Highlights included 🥇 Regional Championship titles for Waverley Red at Level 3 and Level 5, 🥈 2nd overall for Level 4 Red, and an outstanding 1st and 2nd overall finish for our Level 7 Red and Blue teams.

We’re incredibly proud of the confidence, resilience and teamwork shown across the weekend. Congratulations to all of our gymnasts and coaches! 👏

🌟 GCA 40 Under 40 | Sarah Dean

Another WGC leader recognised among Gymnastics Clubs Australia’s 2026 40 Under 40 Industry Leaders!

A huge congratulations to Sarah Dean, WGC Educational Coordinator, on this very well-deserved recognition.

As our Oakleigh Campus Coordinator, Sarah leads an Educational program of more than 1,600 gymnasts and over 60 coaches, playing an important role in ensuring we consistently deliver a world-class experience for every child who walks through our doors.

But Sarah’s impact extends well beyond the numbers. She is passionate about developing the people around her – providing regular feedback and support to our coaches, running fortnightly skill development workshops and helping our emerging coaches progress through their qualifications.

She also played a key leadership role in delivering our annual Gym for All event, which welcomed more than 700 participants for a fun and inclusive competition-style experience.

Sarah’s commitment to our gymnasts, families and coaching team – and her ability to bring out the best in those around her – makes her an invaluable part of WGC.

Congratulations, Sarah! We’re very proud to see your leadership recognised within the wider gymnastics community. 💙👏

What a night! ❤️💙

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful WGC families who joined us for our Family Gala Night on Saturday! It was such a special evening, and we loved seeing so many of our Waverley squad families come together to celebrate our incredible gymnasts, coaches and high performance program.

We are incredibly excited to share that, together, we raised an amazing $4,054.84 for the Waverley International Travel Fund! 🎉

A very special thank you to everyone who generously donated auction items and prizes, our squad families and coaches who came together to create the wonderful themed hampers, everyone who placed a bid, and those who generously donated their silent auction winnings back to the Club. Your generosity played such an important part in making the night a success.

Funds raised will go towards our International Travel Fund, helping support WGC families and coaches with the significant costs involved in participating in international events. We are incredibly grateful to have such a generous and supportive community behind us.
