After more than 50 years, archery in South Australia finally has a permanent home at , Gepps Cross, officially opened by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of SA, with the first arrow shot by the Hon Rhiannon Pearce MP, Minister for Recreation, Sport & Racing. Photos of the opening will be uploaded to the ARCHERY Smugmug gallery.

Following the Opening Ceremony, archers lined up for the ARCHERY SA Max Manuel Memorial WA Star Tournament as the first tournament - so far, all comments have been positive (apart from the wind 🌬️).

🏹 2026 National Youth Championships
📍 Launceston, Tasmania
📅 9–13 April 2026
The 2026 National Youth Championships will take place during the school holidays and the week following Easter, welcoming Australia’s next generation of archers to Tasmania.
A sincere thank you to the Tasmanian Government, Events Tasmania, the City of Launceston, and Archery Tasmania for their support in making this event possible.
Entries close 9 March 2026.
The 2026 National Youth Championships are open to all archers in the U14 to U21 age divisions (age as at 1 January 2026).

Thurs 9th: Official Practice, Opening Ceremony
Friday 10th: 900 Rounds for half the archers
Saturday 11th: 900 Rounds for half the archers
Sunday 12th: 720 Ranking Rounds + Matchplay
Monday 13th: Matchplay
