A long way from the red clay of Roland-Garros, but our Thursday night social tennis players still embraced the spirit of the French Open.

There may not have been Parisian crowds or centre court drama, but there was plenty of tennis, good company, and a touch of France with pain, fromage et vin.

Merci to everyone who joined us for a great evening on and off the court.

Mark Hartnett Pro Tennis Academy is once again proud to be part of Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, helping the Cancer Council raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer.

Tennis clubs are busy places, with people visiting at different times throughout the day. Rather than hosting one single event, we hope every part of the club can come together in their own way.

Whether it's over a hit of tennis, a cup of tea, a coffee, a beer or even a glass of wine, we encourage everyone to take a moment to connect, support one another and help raise funds for this wonderful initiative.

🎾 Thank you for your incredible support

A huge thank you to everyone in the local community who signed the petition to help save Mitcham Tennis Club as part of the Walker Park redevelopment.

The petition, containing more than 2,300 signatures, was presented to Whitehorse City Council, recommending that Council reconsider the draft Walker Park plan to include Mitcham Tennis Club. The motion was unanimously accepted.

Councillor Prue Cutts noted it was one of the highest supported petitions presented during her time as a councillor, highlighting the strength of community backing for a club with around 140 members.

There is still a long journey ahead before the final outcome is known, but this support sends a clear message that Mitcham Tennis Club matters to the community.

We are a growing club and an important local asset. Thank you for standing with us and supporting the future of local tennis.
