Vale Dave Edwards
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dave, and send our condolences to his beautiful family; Ness, Courtney, Mouse and Archie 🐶, Robyn, Wendy and family, to his extended family and to friends and our Aquatique family.
Dave and his family are part of Aquatique, and you really cannot think of one without the other. Ness and the girls have worked with us for over 30 years (sorry Ness 😅) with Dave also helping out over some Summers. Dave is easily the busiest person we know, but still had time to assist with unpacking boxes and deliveries. Dave was one of the few people to be allowed to drive Arnold’s precious van.
Dave’s visit to any of the stores to see the girls would always bring laughs to everyone. He loved a good laugh and a good prank, he loved chatting about his beloved West Tigers, about footy or any mischief that was happening in his family. Dave’s laugh was contagious and he was a yes man, showing up for every event. When Ness worked in the Nowra store, you knew the 3:30 phone call would be Dave, asking what was happening for dinner.
In the early days of Aquatique, he and Ness ran a restaurant out in the Basin and would employee most of our regular staff at night. The wild bunch were always up to mischief at work and the restaurant, we think secretly led by Dave. As a kid, I always thought it was part of Aquqtique, that by working at the shop you also had to work at the restaurant 😅
Dave’s battle with cancer was done with true Viking spirit, the battle was long and hard. He will truly be missed by us all and our Aquatique family is thinking of everyone who loved Dave. Our hearts are breaking with everyone who loved or knew Dave ❤️
