✨Free Boys Program✨

Kicked off on Friday and we had a ball!

Running each Friday for the next three weeks, then will restart up in Term 4!

Includes Tap, Hip Hop, Break dancing, Circus Skills and a whole lot of fun ⚡️

✨FREE✨Boys Program

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - No experience needed 🚨

We are so excited to announce, that in partnership with Nowra.org, we are running a free Boys program for the community. There are only 25 spots available. Open to Boys aged 9 - 15 years. 
 
These classes will run on a Friday throughout Term 3 & 4. From 4 - 5:30pm at our Nowra studio (90 Kinghorne Street) 
 
Term 3
August 28th, September 4th, 11th & 18th.
 
Term 4
October 16th, 23rd, 30th & November 6th.
 
These are 100% free! To register, please head over to our website www.danceworkssouthcoast.com.au and click on enrol/login in the top right-hand corner.
From there, add the student's details and/or select the FREE Boys Program.
 
Styles will include Tap, Circus Skills, Hip Hop, Jazz & Break Dancing.

Goodbye Miss Shannon 🩰

On Saturday, we said Good bye to our beautiful Miss Shannon, as she makes the big move to Canberra. She has been with the DanceWorks Team for over 7 years, and we are going to miss her greatly.

Thank you for everything you have done for the DanceWorks Family, we are forever grateful. See you soon 🫶

Do you know a boy who's interested in dance? We have great news!

DanceWorks South Coast - Nowra is launching a brand new 🎉 FREE 🎉 8-week Boys Dance Program for young guys aged 9 to 15!

Running from 28 August through to 6 November, this program is all about getting more boys moving, building confidence, and discovering what dance can do for them in a fun, welcoming environment.

Places are limited to just 25 boys, so you'll want to get in early.

Please Welcome, Miss Hannah to the DWSC Team✨

Some of you may have met Miss Hannah throughout Term 1 & 2 covering classes for us, but now, Miss Hannah will have her own set classes throughout the week. We are so excited to have her!

🤍 Read more about the wonderful Miss Hannah below:

Based in her home town of Yuin Country/Nowra, NSW, Hannah Brookes is an emerging contemporary dancer and choreographer. Growing up Hannah was a student at Berry Dance Studio and the South Coast Institute of Performing Arts (SCIPA).

She is now a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, receiving both her bachelor and honours in contemporary dance (2021-2024). Prior to WAAPA she was a junior company member at Austi Dance & Physical Theatre (2019-2020).

Since university graduation, Hannah has contributed to creative developments for choreographers Thomas Page (UK), Emma Harrison, and Lola Bond. She has also performed in contemporary works by Layla Meadows, Alisdair Macindoe and Enneagon Movement.

Choreographically in 2025, Hannah was selected to be an uNCOILEd resident artist with Austi Dance & Physical Theatre, presented a group work in Dance Makers Collective’s MOVE FM Sydney Fringe Festival program and performed a self devised solo in ProperMotion Dance’s 4inPLAY season. Most recently in 2026, she was a participant in ReadyMade’s Constant Relay program.

Please welcome, Miss Lauren to the DWSC Teaching Team✨

Originally from the South Coast, Lauren has spent the past six years working in ACT Education as a Secondary Dance and PE teacher. 

Lauren has wealth of knowledge and experience, having completed two years of Fulltime study at The Village, she then went on, to complete a Bachelor of Dance at AMPA before completing a Master of Teaching (Secondary). 

Lauren has taught in both studio and school settings and is extremely passionate about sharing her love of dance. 

Lauren is a busy mum of two, and is so excited to be joining the DWSC Team! 

And Lauren! We can't wait to have you 🤍

Our 2026 Mid-Year Showcase was our best one yet! ✨
A new venue, a fresh format, a more family-friendly program, and so many incredible performances made for a truly memorable weekend. Seeing our dancers shine on stage and sharing those moments with family and friends is what it’s all about. 💙🤍
The poster competition was next level!! Well done to everyone involved!
We’ve been overwhelmed by all the amazing feedback and are so grateful to everyone who came along to support our dancers. Thank you for helping make this showcase so special. ✨
Now it’s time to look ahead! As we begin preparing for our EOY Spectacular, and we can’t wait to create even more unforgettable memories together. 🌟💙
