You had me a piles of dirt…. The sharks with laser beams are just the icing on the cake…
But seriously folks - it’s pretty decent of Watercorp and their contractors to allow us to keep using the park whilst they do essential infrastructure works. Let’s not cause them any grief or give the men with serious job titles reason to shut us down. Keep clear of the area, go slow on the approaches and report any malfeasance.

Meanwhile, somewhere in WA...
📷: Water Corporation are installing a large diamter water distribution main at Pinjar Motorcycle Area and currently tracking ahead of schedule and are now expecting to complete Orchid Road by the end of this year, rather than early next year.
The detour for the acces to Pinjar and remaining works is outlined below and is expected to be in a few weeks.

Please respect that they are operating a worksite and machinery, follow detours, fencing and signage. There may be half built stuff, holes, piles of dirt, big pipes and sharks with lasers so exercise caution at all times.

Tuesday 23rd, 6pm the RTRA will be having our AGM and social night at the usual pub, the Oxford in Leederville.
Don’t panic, it’s about 15 minutes of compulsory reports and formalities, then a few hours of mingling and talking bikes with fellow riders, with free food provided by Sean.
But wait - there’s more. We have door prizes care of and on store. If you make the effort to sit in a comfy room talking dirt bikes for a couple of hours we might reward you with a new tyre or some flash goggles.
There’s a few guest speakers, learn about the progress of the Manjimup Trail Bike Hub, Cambodia Motorbike Tours and others.

Switch off the wifi, dump the iPad and teach them them maths by mixing 2 stroke.

Today is kids open day at Pinjar riding area. There will be a free sausage sizzle, food trucks, loads of families - and need I say it - Primo riding conditions today.

Pinjar is a world class riding area, close to the city and cheap to access. Show some support and enjoy your day of rest with the family.

Your kids won’t remember the time you dragged them around Lakeside, but they will remember that time your took them riding that one Saturday.

This Saturday 20th September we are having a kids ride day at Pinjar. There will be food trucks, hot snags and cold drinks, lots of faces from the RTRA, and a great chance to meet with other families who ride.
Bring the kids along, grab a hotdog and have a yarn with us.

FRIENDS OF PINJAR FRIDAYS!
As Pinjar has been deemed to be "outside the responsibility of Local Government" and the ORV funding scheme, Would a Conditional or recreational registration system allowing access to State forest work? such as Trailriding in Victoria
Would a system like the boating scheme be viable?
What do you think is the way forward?

FRIENDS OF PINJAR FRIDAYS!
May have noticed the eye of Saurron at the entry. Have also noticed a corresponding drop in rubbish dumping, vandalism and the number of night crawlers in the park at night. Feels like there has been a general improvement in behavior, so things are working.
This has numberplate recognition and night vision, but it doesn't cover everything so keep an eye out and if you see something, say something, as can now go and have a chat with those responsibe. Thanks to all that have done this already.

FRIENDS OF PINJAR FRIDAYS!
Did you know that 100% of the revenue from the fee pillar is returned back into the park through DBCA.

Did you know that the ORV registration scheme is under the Local Government act, and that Pinjar is not local government land, nor local government administered, and Beazley MLA has advised that Pinjar is not local government funded, nor elegible for the grant funding that the WALGA president came up to announce...

Do pay the fee pillar! :)
