A striking feature of our 9th hole, the sleeper wall has become a distinctive statement of Glenelg Golf Club’s course character.

Perched above the water’s edge, the green is framed by sleepers that feature throughout the course, creating one of the first visual highlights Members and guests encounter as they drive through the main gates.

A memorable welcome, and an equally memorable finish to the front nine.

Today is the inaugural Thank a PGA Pro Day, we recognise the PGA Professionals who play an important role in the golfing experience at Glenelg Golf Club.

Thank you to Adam Bland, Cameron Scott, Connor Chant, Gareth Jones, Harry Coote, Ryan Reavley, Sarah Douglass-Norris and Sarah King.

From coaching golfers of all ages and abilities to supporting junior development, managing golf operations and providing expert advice through the Professional Shop, their knowledge, passion and commitment continue to help Members and guests enjoy and improve their game.

It was great to see our country junior Members representing their home clubs and districts at the 2026 Allan Telford Cup, held at Port Augusta Golf Club on 13th to 14th July.

Congratulations to Riverland Golf - South Australia on taking out this year’s title, represented by Glenelg junior Member Oli Brock and Paul Efthimiou.

Southern district finished runners-up, represented by Glenelg junior Member Cade Barnes and Tristan Lakin-Hall, while Glenelg junior Member Levi Ashton represented Murraylands district.

We are proud to support the recovery of the vulnerable Murray hardyhead, with 500 fish recently released into a wetland on our course.

This important conservation project, delivered in partnership with Green Adelaide and Nature Glenelg Trust, will help establish a secure population and support future releases back into the wild.

The final challenge on the last hole.

Positioned on the right of the 18th fairway, this large hybrid bunker influences every decision on the approach. Attack the green in two, lay up safely, or risk finding the sand.

The 9th is a fitting finish to the front nine.

From above, it may look inviting, but every shot requires thought. Position off the tee is everything before taking on one of the course's most recognisable green complexes. Set against the water with its distinctive sleeper wall, the 9th green is one of the first sights to welcome Members and guests as they arrive at the Club.
