Vladislav Dykidzhi after the free skate at the 🇯🇵 Kinosh*ta Group Cup:
"When I was packing my things, did I think it would turn out like this? No, but I was expecting a good performance. If I hadn't been nervous, it could have been even better, but I'm happy with how I skated. I almost touched the ice on the last jump. I had a different jump planned initially, but I didn't have enough time to work on it, so I had to go back to a simpler variation.
I'm glad I didn't fall at the end, I skated the program consciously, trying to show emotion, and I really enjoyed it.
Who would I dedicate the victory to? To all my coaches, parents, girlfriend, her parents, all my dear fans, my grandmother, my sister – to everyone.
Where will I go first in St. Petersburg? As soon as I arrive, I'll go straight to the ice rink. I have practices coming up. Maybe I'll go to a restaurant with my parents. I love steaks. Tomorrow I'll go to Shibuya.
My expectations for my first major international tournament were met. But it was so spontaneous that I didn't even have time to think about it. I'm lucky that I worked hard on the programs in August. We started working on them very early. Of course, this is one of the most important medals in my career.
Have I lost weight? Yes, I've lost 3.5 kilograms.
Has my motivation to train increased? Of course, my motivation has definitely increased. I don't think it had a significant impact. I just worked hard and lost weight.
Am I considering attempting a 4A (quad axel)? I was asked about my future technical plans. It's not exactly a plan, but there are some goals. Why not, if I can do it? First, I'll work on two lutzes, a flip, a salchow, maybe add a riittberger. **And then I'll try to add the quad axel. I just haven't had enough time to practice it with this weight. I'm curious to see if I can do it.**"
