Kent Town Swimming Club

Kent Town Swimming Club Kent Town Swimming Club previously known as Burnside Swimming Club has a long and proud history of swimming in South Australia.

We encourage swimmers to participate in swimming for enjoyment and also support swimmers to be competitive at State and National level. Swimmers train at the Kent Town Swim complex and Burnside outdoor pool, under the guidance and direction of their skilled coaching staff.

Congratulations to our team of 10 who took on the Norwood SC Sprint Series #2 last Friday night!

There were plenty of strong swims, some great racing, and lots of smiles poolside, exactly how competition should be. 👍🏼

Whether it was chasing a PB, trying something new, or simply enjoying being part of the team, every swimmer represented the club brilliantly.

A big thank you to the team at Norwood Swimming Club for once again hosting a fantastic event, and to Sally for capturing a few photos of our team. 💙❤️

Although this post is a little later than planned, we’re delighted to look back on a truly memorable afternoon.

On 31 May, we came together to celebrate another outstanding year at Kent Town Swimming Club and all that we have achieved as a club family.

Our AGM and Awards Presentation was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements, commitment and growth of our swimmers, while also celebrating the coaches, volunteers, families and supporters whose passion and generosity help make Kent Town such a vibrant and welcoming community.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients - your hard work, determination and sportsmanship are an inspiration, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything you have accomplished.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, to the Arkaba hotel for their generous hospitality, and to Mayor Anne Monceaux and Claire Clutterham MP for helping us celebrate another successful year.

We are incredibly proud of what we achieve together, both in and out of the pool, and grateful for the strong community spirit that continues to make our club so special.

Eight of our swimmers attended Norwood’s first Sprint Carnival at the new Adelaide Aquatic Centre on Friday night and what a great way to kick off the weekend.

Lots of fast swimming, loads of PBs and, most importantly, plenty of fun was had throughout the night. What a fantastic experience racing in the new facility and a big thank you to for hosting such a great meet.

A special thank you as well to our parents who jumped in across the night to help with timekeeping. Carnivals are always a team effort and we’re very grateful for everyone who helps make these nights possible.💙❤️

A smaller crew on pool deck today at the Immanuel Carnival, but plenty of noise, racing and club spirit from our Red, White and Blue crew. ❤️🤍💙

It was fantastic to see some of our newest members stepping up, racing hard and proudly pulling on the KTSC cap for the first time. These carnivals are such an important part of building confidence, friendships and club spirit, and we loved seeing our swimmers getting around each other poolside. Thanks Immanuel for putting on a great event. 👏🏼

A huge congratulations to Jaime who took out 1st place in the 13&U Skins, while Charlotte claimed 3rd in the 14&O Skins, not a bad night’s work for the Toh household. 💰👏🏼

While her name may have been accidentally missed in the original announcement, there was no way we were letting this achievement slip by unnoticed. 😉

Charlotte’s selection is such a wonderful reward for her hard work, commitment and the quiet determination she brings to training and racing.

We’re incredibly proud to see her recognised and can’t wait to watch her thrive throughout the season.
