r original club was solely utilised for social gatherings around bocce and soccer by early immigrant Italian farmers of Bundaberg and was so named 'Across The Waves', for that was how they travelled to Australia aboard the Angelina Lauro - across the waves of the Indian Ocean. Today operating as a foundation sub clubs of The Waves Sports Club, our football club is today known as an icon and leader of football in Regional Queensland. We are a large club with a strong focus on Junior Development. Our club has a proven record of producing stars, including Josh Brillante (currently with A-League Club Western Sydney Wanderers) and Mitch Langerak (currently playing for Nagoya Grampus) are both ATWFC juniors that have forged out successful footballing careers for club and country. ATWFC has many, many volunteers and without these people would not be the club that we are. We thank these coaches, managers, committee, groundspeople, canteen helpers and many more for their invaluable contribution to our club. ATWFC would also like to thank its many sponsors for the support that they provide to our great club. Without such generous sponsorship we would not be able to provide such valuable resources to our members.
