🩷 **A little life update from our Club Manager Kela…** 🩷
For those who have wondered where I disappeared to back in May, I thought it was finally time to introduce you all to the reason I had to leave the gym so suddenly!
Back at the beginning of May, I ended up in hospital unexpectedly and, what we thought would be a short stay, turned into months in hospital right through until our beautiful girl arrived.
In May at 25 weeks my waters broke and on the 20th of July, our little miracle Poppy-Taonga Gladys Suzie Franklin arrived at just 33 weeks + 4 days via emergency C-section. Her arrival involved a helicopter ride, NICU/HDU and a whole lot of ups and downs — but she has been such a little fighter from the very beginning. 🩷
Today she is one month old and 38 weeks corrected, we are home, and she is absolutely perfect. 🥹
While I’ve been away, I cannot thank my incredible team enough for holding the gym down and continuing to make everything run so smoothly. Knowing the gym was in such good hands allowed me to focus on getting through those months and, eventually, bringing our girl home. You guys have absolutely smashed it! 💪🏼
I am now officially **on maternity leave** and enjoying every single moment of being Māmā. It has been one hell of a journey, but I wouldn’t change a thing because it brought us our beautiful girl.
A massive thank you to everyone who has sent messages, checked in, asked how we were doing and continued to show so much love while I’ve been away — especially everyone who has kept in touch. It has genuinely meant the world. 🩷
**She is here. She is safe. She is perfect. And we are so incredibly grateful.**
And don’t worry, you won’t get rid of me completely 😂 You’ll still see me popping in and around the gym here and there!
For now, I’m just soaking up this precious time with my baby girl. 🩷
