🔧 Another step closer.

A huge thank you to John, Michael, Justin and Evie, who have been putting in the hard yards installing the new range hood and giving the kitchen a major clean-up ahead of our upcoming inspection.

Behind the scenes, Graham and Heath have been taking in our Containers for Change donations to raise valuable funds for the club, whilst Eamon has been keeping our generator fuelled and maintained so we have reliable power on site. At the same time, plenty has been happening behind the scenes with compliance paperwork, sponsorships, history timeline prep, grants and planning as we work towards reopening.

Every job completed brings us one step closer to finalising our compliance works and welcoming everyone back to the track.

We’ll soon be announcing a Busy Bee for one final clean-up before inspection. Whether you can spare an hour or a whole morning, we’d love to have you there. Many hands make light work.

Thank you to everyone who continues to give up their weekends, evenings and time to help rebuild NDMCC. It’s the big jobs and the little ones behind the scenes that keep a volunteer-run club moving forward.

🏁 MORE THAN MX AND ATV

Who taught you to ride?

The person who wheeled out your first bike…

Taught you how to ride.

Took the day off work.

Drove you to the track before sunrise.

Picked you up after your first crash.

Turned the spanners.

Stood on the fence every weekend.

Believed in you before anyone else did.

Tag them below. Tell us your story. Or simply say thank you.

Because motocross and ATV has always been about more than the racing.

Today we’re proud to launch our partnership with TradeMutt Australia.

Together, we’re encouraging more conversations, looking out for our mates and reminding everyone that no one rides through life alone.

💚 Grab a shirt. Start a conversation.

Use code NDMC20OFF for 20% off Trademutt gear for the next 12 months.

Our committee and volunteers will be ordering theirs soon, we’d love to see more of our NDMCC community wearing the shirt that starts conversations & supports such a great cause.

One Team. One Community. One Future.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT | FLAG MARSHAL

Every rider on the track relies on a team of volunteers behind the scenes.

Flag Marshals are the eyes of the track, communicating hazards to race control and changing conditions to riders, helping keep everyone safe so racing can continue.

Think this role could be for you?

Watch the Motorcycling Australia Flag Marshal training video: https://youtu.be/uZyRTJGWe3s?si=yV49CMxjnPboz-KW

Now we’d love to hear from our community…

Have you ever been a Flag Marshal, official or volunteer at a motocross event? What’s your favourite memory from standing trackside?

Riders… how important are Flag Marshals to your race day? Has one ever made a difference to you when it mattered most?

Share your stories below and help us recognise the volunteers who make events happen.

🚿 SP TOOLS WASH STATION 🚿

Northam District Motorcycle Club would like to extend a huge thank you to Mark and the team at SP Tools for their continued support and generous donation of two petrol-powered pressure washers for our wash bay facilities.

The SP Tools Wash Station has become a valuable part of our venue, helping riders clean their bikes after a day on the track whilst keeping our facilities operating efficiently for members and visitors.

Support from community-minded businesses like SP Tools helps us continue improving our club and delivering a better experience for riders, families and volunteers alike.

Thank you for backing grassroots motorsport and investing in the future of our club. 💛🏁

🏆 The Castrol Trophy 🏆

This incredible trophy has been part of Northam District Motorcycle Club history since 1951, with winners recorded all the way through to 2001 and one final winner believed to have been added in 2002 - Dale Britton.

As we’ve started digging through the club archives, some familiar names keep appearing. Riders like Richie Kings, Graeme Smythe, Charlie West and many others helped shape the club and its history.

Looking at this trophy raises so many questions…

Who was the rider everyone wanted to beat?

What did it mean to win the Castrol Trophy?

What bikes were these riders racing?

What was Northam like back then?

Should H. Renfree be Gordon Renfree?

Who can fill in the blanks?

We’ve already heard some fantastic stories about Richie Kings, Jim Hunter, Frank Varadi, Bob Emery and others and we’d love to hear more.

If your name, a family member’s name, or someone you remember appears on this trophy, tell us their story below.

Every comment helps us preserve a piece of Northam’s history. 🏁

🏁 THE PEOPLE WHO BUILT NORTHAM 🏁

These photos were taken during our 100 Year Celebration in 2024.

Some of the people pictured raced, volunteered, officiated, worked on bikes, helped run events, supported their families from the sidelines, and played a part in building Northam District Motorcycle Club into what it is today.

Without them, there is no Northam District Motorcycle Club.

Do you recognise anyone in these photos?

We’d love to hear your memories, stories, race results, bikes they rode, characters they were, or the moments that have stayed with you over the years.

Every photo has a story. Let’s see how many we can uncover. ❤️🏁
