Somewhere along the way, fitness became about how your body looks.
Before and after. Progress shots. Aesthetics first.
And for a lot of people, that framing is quietly getting in the way. Because when you train primarily for appearance, progress is hard to see — and it's easy to feel like you're not getting anywhere, even when you are.
Here's what I actually see when someone is getting stronger:
They stand up from the floor without needing a hand.
They pick up their kids or grandkids and don't feel it for three days.
Their sleep improves. Their energy stabilises. They feel capable in their body in a way they haven't in years.
That's what strong feels like from the inside. Not a number. Not a size. A quiet, reliable confidence in what your body can do.
The aesthetics often follow. But they stop having so much power over how you feel about yourself.
