⚽️ THURSDAY NIGHT CUP FOOTBALL ⚽️

What a night at Samuel King Oval! Under the new lights, our Men’s All Age 2 squad battled it out in a tense Damian Miles Cup knockout clash.

After 90 minutes of some stellar high pace football, the boys secured a massive win over Lane Cove West to punch their ticket to the next round! 🎟️💪

Huge shoutout to those who came down on a chilly night to cheer the lads on!!

It's National Volunteer Week and we want to recognize the incredible people who keep our great club operational.

A club like ours doesn't just run on passion, it runs on the countless hours given selflessly by our volunteer community. Today, we salute you!!

"Volunteers do not always necessarily have the time; they just have the heart."

To our team managers, game day coaches, referees, event coordinators, bbq'ers, field dressers and committee members — Thank you for showing up early, staying late and making sure our community has a safe, fun and thriving place to play.

G14 LORIKEETS FLY HIGH! 🦜⚽️

What a way to wrap up Female Football Week! Our Under 14 Girls put on an absolute masterclass at home today with a massive 3-0 victory! 💪✨

Not only did the girls play some beautiful, dominant football, but this win puts them in the Top 4! 🔥

The determination, teamwork and spirit on display today perfectly capped off a week celebrating the incredible women and girls in our game. We couldn’t be prouder of this team and how they represent our club. 💜💜

A huge shoutout to all the parents, supporters and volunteers who came out to support our girls from the sidelines! 📣👏

We’re running a free Open Week from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd of May, open to everyone, whether you play, spectate, or just cheer from the sidelines!

🌫️ Misty morning vibes at Samuel King Oval! 🌫️

The fog is lifting, the field is prepped and games are officially ON! ⚽️

Emerging from the mist this morning, we’ve got our U18 Div 4 squad kicking things off against Lane Cove FC at 10am.

Later today, the action continues as our Men’s Over 45s step up to take on North Sydney FC.

Tomorrow (Sunday) it our Girls U14 welcoming Lane Cove FC and later our Women’s Over 30 (Div2) taking on Greenwich FC.

Best of luck to all our teams this weekend. Remember to RESPECT our officials, let the coaches coach and our kids be kids so all can enjoy the game 💪🖤🤍

🦄 From Little Unicorns to Leading the Way! ⚽️

A massive shout-out to four of our incredible foundation players: Olivia, Milli, Sarah, and Suri! 🌟

Back in 2018, when the Northern Suburbs Football Association first launched its girls-only team offering, these four were right there as part of our original Girls U8 Unicorns.

Watching them grow from enthusiastic youngsters into the powerhouse players they are today has been an absolute joy.

The Journey So Far:
• 2018: The U8 Unicorns originals.
• Today: Key members of our U18-20 squad.
• The Connection: Despite heading off to different high schools, these girls have stayed united through their love for the game.
• All-Season Stars: From the chilly winter matches to the fast-paced summer comps, they haven't missed a beat.

It’s about more than just the scoreline; it’s about the lifelong friendships and the community connection that football brings.

Olivia, Milli, Sarah, and Suri—thank you for being such amazing role models for our younger players and for showing us all what "playing for the love of the game" truly looks like 🙌✨

🍕Pizza, Pitch and Girl Power! ⚽️

Tonight, our U18-20 Girls squad celebrated Female Football Week the best way we know how: a high-energy training session followed by a massive pizza feast!

A huge shoutout to our amazing event sponsors, Rosso Cavallino in St Ives, for fueling the team with the best slices around. Nothing brings a team together like football and wood-fired pizza. 😋

It’s a week to celebrate the talent and dedication of our female football players.

🖤🤍 65 Years of Changing the Game 🌈⚽

Did you know that female football with the Magpies dates back to 1961?

It started with a group of determined 12 and 13-year-olds who grew up on the sidelines watching their fathers and brothers—and decided they wanted a piece of the action too.

Fast forward to today, and that spark from these girls has certainly become fire! 🔥

• Then: One pioneer team.
• Now: Females make up nearly 40% of our club.
• The Reach: From our youngest Girls U6s to our unstoppable Womens Over 30s.

We couldn’t be prouder of our growth and of our signature rainbow socks introduced in 2018. 🌈🦄

This Female Football Week, we’re celebrating every player, coach, manager and volunteer who continues to ensure our club soars!!

See you at training for some special in-club events all week! 💜💜
