North Companions FC Northies are a Football Club from Tamworth, NSW, Australia, established 1974. North Companions play in the Northern Inland Mens Premier League.

Founded in 1974 - we are the Pandas. North Companions Football Club caters for all ages from under 6s to Under 16s plus Open Mens and Womens teams. Join a Club that is family orientated and committed to giving all players the opportunity to become better citizens as well as better players. All training is conducted at the Marius St Fields which is located at 41 Marius Street (between the Riding School for the Disabled and the BMX Track).

RESERVE GRADE THROUGH TO THE SEMI-FINALS 🐼⚽

Reserve Grade have secured finals football after a 1-1 draw with minor premiers Demon Knights last Saturday, finishing the regular season in 4th place.

Josh Tumbridge secured finals football with a late free kick from deep and wide, which found the back of the net superbly over the keeper.

The boys will face Inverell this weekend at Riverside.

RESERVE GRADE: MAKE OR BREAK 🐼⚽

It could be make or break for Reserve Grade today, as we take on top-of-the-table Demon Knights in the final round of the regular season.

With finals hopes on the line, the final top four permutations are unreal:

If we win and Moore Creek lose to North Armidale, we finish 2nd.

If we win and Moore Creek win, we finish in the top four.

If we lose and Moore Creek win, we finish in the top four.

If we lose and Inverell lose to Hillvue, we finish in the top four.

If we lose, Moore Creek lose and Inverell win, we’re out.

A point guarantees us finals football. If we lose, we’ll be relying on other results.

First Grade have already secured 5th place and will also finish their regular season today.

Reserve Grade kick off at 1:00 PM, followed by First Grade at 3:00 PM.

FIRST GRADE DEBUT FOR JOSHUA MCGUFFICKE 🐼⚽

Congratulations to Joshua McGufficke, who made his First Grade debut last week, coming on late in the second half against Inverell FC.

At just 15 years and 4 months old, Joshua is one of the youngest players to feature in First Grade for Northies.

A member of our U16s, he came on with plenty of energy and worked hard throughout his time on the pitch.

A great moment for Josh, and hopefully the first of many more First Grade appearances.

THAT'S A WRAP ON COMPETITIVE FOOTBALL 🐼⚽

As the regular season comes to an end for our local senior and junior teams, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved with Northies this season.

For our junior teams, finals football begins this weekend, while our Premier League sides have one final round to play before finals, and our Women's teams still have games remaining.

It’s been a big season for the black and white, and we’re looking forward to seeing our teams finish the season strongly.

Keep an eye on our socials for updates, with team registrations for 2027 opening soon.

YESTERDAY'S PL RESULTS.

A tough day for our Premier League squads at Marius Street yesterday.

Reserve Grade | 0-2 Loss

A disappointing result sees the Reserves drop to third, with the final round next week now deciding whether finals football is confirmed. At most, the boys need just one point if other results don't go our way.

First Grade | 2-7 Loss

A deflating result after such a big win the week before. Credit to Inverell, who punished our mistakes and were clinical when their chances came.

The boys battled hard in the second half, matching Inverell 1-1 after the break.

The highlight of the day was a Justin Pendergast brace. He finished the first half strongly, making it 1-3 after getting on the end of a Max Thompson lobbed ball, before adding his second late in the game with a solid header from an Aden Hall corner.

We travel to Armidale next week to face Demon Knights.

ITS GAMEDAY! 🐼⚽

Our Premier League squads take on Inverell FC at Marius Street today, with First Grade looking to put in a shift and the Reserves needing just one point to secure a top four finish as they continue their push for finals.

Reserve Grade kicks off at 1:00pm, followed by First Grade at 3:00pm.

Our Women's 1's take on OVA at Gipps Street, Johnson Field at 3:00pm in Phase 3, while our 2's have the bye.

LADIES DAY 2026 | A LOOK BACK 💗

Back on Saturday 27 June, North Companions held our first ever Ladies Day, raising money for an amazing local charity, Serendipity Tamworth

It was fantastic to see our junior and senior members getting into the spirit of the day and celebrating the incredible women who are such an important part of North Companions, while also supporting a wonderful local cause.

The afternoon saw our Ladies and Men’s senior teams take to the field, with plenty happening off the pitch too. The Ladies Day marquee was open throughout the afternoon, with food supplied by local businesses and volunteers, plenty of prizes and our prize baskets drawn to finish off the day.

We’re incredibly proud to share that $1,387.35 was raised for Serendipity Tamworth, supporting the amazing work they do in our local community.

A huge thank you to the local businesses who supported the day through food, prizes, marquees and donations:

Without the generosity and support of these businesses, we simply would not have been able to raise the amount we did. We truly appreciate everyone who got behind the day and helped us support such a great local cause.

A massive thank you also goes to all of our volunteers who helped set up, man the canteen, collect donations, organise prizes and keep everything running throughout the day. We simply could not put events like this on without the incredible people who volunteer their time to support our club.

And a very special shout-out to Caitlin Grobler, who put in an enormous amount of work to organise and bring our first Ladies Day together.

We’re already looking ahead to Ladies Day 2027, where we’ll continue our support for Serendipity Tamworth while celebrating the amazing women who help make North Companions the club it is.
