Day 25 and challenge complete!! 🥳
Thank you for being my comfy backpack and cheer leader today 😄
I've done some reflecting of the last 24 days and the reason for my participation in this madness.
Originally I wanted to try it out out of curiosity, only expecting to do it for a week or so. The first week was enjoyable as I found it to be something different and a bit quirky, testing out different ways of carrying my own weight around.
The middle of the challenge began to feel quite monotonous. Things started to ache and get uncomfortable. This was a great practice of mental fortitude.
The last 10km were undoubtedly the hardest. I had lost any last little bits of enjoyment that were helping me through. My body and mind had had enough. Every lap it was just me, my thoughts and my breath. Almost a meditative practice of acceptance of the unacceptable. But I wanted to finish because I said I was going to finish.
Overall, I am glad for the experience! Am I proud of myself? Not really. We are all capable of doing things that challenge us, it just depends whether you want to or not. In the end I didn't really want to, but I still did. Not for the clout, or the free t shirt - but, for me.
Thanks Matt for the challenge!
