Ever felt like you’re working hard but your heart rate on the screen hasn’t caught up yet? That’s heart rate lag 🫀
It’s completely normal, especially when intensity jumps quickly. Your muscles respond instantly, but your cardiovascular system can take a moment to increase blood flow and reflect that effort on screen.
So don’t panic if your numbers look a little delayed early in a block. Trust your effort, listen to your coach and let the data catch up.
