An absolutely massive weekend for our guys and girls in green throughout the Grand Final weekend.

An incredible mention goes to our spectators for showing up both Friday and Saturday supporting our teams in the final game of the season.

Congratulations to our very own Pino Giannangelo on being recognised with the 2026 Service to Football Gold Award.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Pino's knowledge, time and effort within the club. This is a huge honour to receive for any member, but very deserving for humbled man, Pino.
We all appreciate the time and dedication you put not only into the women's teams, but the club also.

Congratulations to Pino Giannangelo on being recognised with the 2026 Service to Football Gold Award. 👏

For more than a decade, Pino has been a driving force behind the success of Mackay Lions, dedicating countless hours to the growth of women's football across the region. As head coach of the club's FQPL Women side for the past 10 years, he has helped develop more than 100 players while guiding the team to an extraordinary 10 consecutive Premierships from 2017 to 2026.

But Pino's impact extends far beyond the results. Whether it's coaching during the week, volunteering on weekends, or lending a hand wherever needed, his commitment to the club, its players, and the wider football community has never wavered.

Well here it is. The weekend we work hard for all year.

This weekend is one for the books - having SEVEN teams in the Grand Final.

It all kicks off Friday afternoon at MFP with Saturday being at BB Print Stadium.

So to all of our members and supporters, to get down to MFP and the Stadium to support your guys and girls in green as we look to claim the championship across seven divisions!

A big day of Lions players in action yesterday with three teams fighting for a spot in the Grand Final.
Congratulations to our U18 and DIV 1 MEN for taking the win and advancing into the Grand Final next weekend!
Unfortunately our U15 FQPL team lost in penalties in a very good game! Well done on an incredible season. You should all be proud of yourselves!
