Western Women's Order of Merit Update

The race for Western Women's Order of Merit honours is continuing to build, with valuable points still to be added from Boulia, Richmond, Mackay, Rowes Bay and Pioneer Valley. With so many results yet to be included, every grade remains wide open.

Adding extra incentive, the Order of Merit winners will earn the opportunity to represent the West in the GNQ District team at Royal Pines on the Gold Coast. For many of our western players, it will be a chance to experience a championship venue featuring lush fairways and playing conditions that are very different from those encountered across much of outback Queensland.

A Grade

Kelly Carter from Hughenden has established a handy lead, but there is still plenty of golf to be played before the final positions are decided.

πŸ₯‡ Kelly Carter (Hughenden) - 440
πŸ₯ˆ Tarrene Frost (Mount Isa) - 357
πŸ₯‰ Amanda Alloway (Hughenden) - 310

πŸ₯‡ Maree Norman (Hughenden) - 380
πŸ₯ˆ Racheal Lenton (Winton) - 310
πŸ₯‰ Megan Thorncroft (Richmond) - 260

C Grade

πŸ₯‡ Rosemary Sealy (Hughenden) - 310
πŸ₯ˆ Dianne Foley (Winton) - 270
πŸ₯‰ Katrina Sladden (Hughenden) - 235

With Boulia, Richmond, Mackay, Rowes Bay and Pioneer Valley results still outstanding, the standings are far from settled. The chase for a place in the Western District Team at Royal Pines is sure to keep the pressure on as players look to secure valuable Order of Merit points over the final events of the season.

Who will earn the right to swap the western fairways for the lush greens of the Gold Coast? Stay tuned as the race heats up. β›³πŸŒοΈβ€β™€οΈ
