Last year, when Unity opened in April, the Moreton Bay Championship was our very first competition as a new club.

We had 11 competitors, nervous energy, a loud support crew, and a sea of purple shirts filling the sidelines for the very first time 💜

One year later, we returned with 32 athletes representing Unity and an even bigger sea of purple behind them.

Not only did we triple our competitor numbers, but our women’s team took home:
🥇 1st place Women’s No Gi
🥈 2nd place Women’s Gi

Special shout out to Yassi & Sarah for stepping onto the competition mats for the very first time and absolutely killing it. First comps are never easy, and you both did us incredibly proud 💜

More than the podium finishes, we’re proud of the environment and community growing around these mats.
More families. More women. More kids finding confidence and more people willing to challenge themselves.

A pretty special full-circle moment for our team ❤️

Sunday the 17th we had an absolutely amazing turnout from our competition team. So many of our kids stepped out onto the mats for the very first time overcoming the nerves, pressure, and anxiety that come with competing.

What made us most proud wasn’t just the talent they showed, but the sportsmanship, courage, and support they gave each other throughout the day. That’s what Unity is all about lifting each other up and growing stronger together.

A huge shoutout to Harley, Logan, Stella, Roxy, Bonnie, Bridie, Elijah and Noah. Every one of them represented Unity with heart and courage.

We are incredibly proud of every single one of you for stepping outside your comfort zone and representing Unity the way you did.
