🌊 September School Holiday Program at TLC Learn to Swim 🦈

Keep your child active and developing their swimming skills these September school holidays with our Holiday Program!

Over three fun-filled days, this program is the perfect opportunity for children to refine their technique, boost their water confidence, and enjoy games and activities with our experienced instructors.

Program Details
🗓️ Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (both weeks of the holidays)
⏰ 11:30am – 2:30pm daily
💲 $60 per day (3 hour session)

🎒 What to Bring
• Snacks
• Water bottle
• Towel

Whether your child is looking to strengthen their swimming skills or simply enjoy extra time in the pool, this holiday program is the perfect mix of learning and fun!

The Lakes College Aquatic Precinct will be closed Monday 10 August for the Moreton Bay Ekka Show Holiday.

🦈 It's Sharkie's Day! 🦈

Today we’re celebrating International Shark Awareness Day and shining a spotlight on these incredible creatures and the important role they play in keeping our oceans healthy.

Sharks have been swimming in our oceans for more than 400 million years and are vital to maintaining balanced marine ecosystems. Today is a chance to learn more, care more, and help protect them for future generations.

❄️ MYTH BUSTER: Swimming during cold weather causes colds... ❌

The truth? Colds are caused by viruses, not temperature. In fact, children who continue swimming throughout winter are often fitter, maintain stronger immune systems and are less susceptible to colds and flu.

At TLC Learn to Swim, we encourage our Sharkies to keep swimming all year round. Winter swimming helps children maintain their skills, build confidence, stay active and support their overall health and wellbeing.

Remember:
✔️ Wear a swim cap in the pool
✔️ Dry off thoroughly after lessons
✔️ Dress warmly and pop on a beanie
✔️ Please do not leave the Aquatic Precinct in a towel
