🚣‍♀️🔥 Exciting News: Two Paddle Communities Unite! 🔥🌊

We’re proud to announce that Indian Ocean Dragon Boating Club is merging with Fremantle Outrigger Canoe Club! 🐉🤝🌺

This merger brings together two well-established paddling communities, combining the strength, spirit, and traditions of both dragon boating and outrigger canoeing. Together, we’re creating a united club rooted in teamwork, respect, and a shared love for life on the water.

We’ll be paddling outrigger canoes exclusively, both on the river and ocean! We’ll launch off Gilbert Fraser Reserve in North Freo on the river and off Coogee Beach for scenic ocean paddling.

As we move forward as one, we look forward to new experiences, shared goals, and a vibrant future shaped by the best of both clubs.

Congratulations and a big thank you to all the crew and volunteers that enabled us to compete at States.
Thank you for all your support and competitiveness on the water and patience with the windy conditions.
A big thank you to those that put their bodies on the line and pushed through injuries to give us the numbers to compete.
Thank you Jelna for being our cheer squad and photographer.

We plan a nice recovery session on Tuesday with a paddle to Chidley Point, taking in some tunes and fun on the boat. The wind god is looking good.

A huge thank you to Fremantle Outrigger Canoe Club who kindly donated new iakos and 2 outrigger paddles to our club.
This is a huge support to us through our winter season when we often jump in an OC6 instead of our Dragonboat.
Come and have a paddle with us!

Joined by the Councillor for the City of Fremantle's North Ward, Cr Ingrid van Dorssen, Indian Ocean Dragon Boat Club were lucky enough to hold our Waves of Harmony event to celebrate Harmony week♥️🐲🚣‍♂️ thank you to all the lovely people who joined us for a paddle, we hope you enjoyed the day and that we'll get to see you again soon 🌟🙏 thank you City of Fremantle for supporting the event.
