The Fremantle Rowing Club was formed on 19th July 1887, It has a long and proud tradition of developing elite athletes as well as maintain a fun club lifestyle. It is the perfect club for all rowers of any age and of any skill level.

Congratulations to Sam Bredell on an outstanding campaign with the U19 Australia B team at the 2026 International Rowing Challenge! 🇦🇺

Sam absolutely delivered across the board:
🥇 1st — Mixed 8+
🥇 1st — Men’s Quad
🥇 1st — Men’s Double Scull
🥈 2nd — Men’s Four
An incredible effort representing FRC on the international stage.

A massive congratulations too to coach Dave Vandas for guiding Sam through such a stellar performance. The results speak for themselves!

🚣 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships — Recap 🚣

What a week at Champion Lakes! Our masters squad turned out in force and did the club proud.

🥇 3.25 Gold
🥈 3 Silver
🥉 2 Bronze
👟 15 athletes | 27 entries | 20th overall

Huge congratulations to every single rower who pulled on the Freo colours — whether you medalled or just left it all on the water, you showed what FRC rowing is all about. 💚

Massive congratulations to Oceane Jeannerat, Olivia Hansen-Knarhoi and Charlotte Hansen-Knarhoi on their selection in the U19 Women’s Coxless Four 🇦🇺

Selected to represent Australia at the World Rowing U19 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria — a testament to years of early mornings, consistency, and high-level performance.

Our nationals athletes are in the final week of preparation before flying off to Tasmania to compete against the very best in Australia 🩵💪

🌊🚣‍♀️ Commonwealth Rowing Beach Sprint Champs 🌊 🚣‍♀️

Congratulations to Freo rowers Oceane and Thea for both making the podium at the Commonwealth Rowing Association Beach Sprint Championships!

Oceane won the U19 Women's Solo Race, taking the win over Canada in the A-final 🥇

Thea came second in the Open Mixed Double for Wales, racing Australia in the A-final 🥈

It's great to see our coastal rowing program developing some of the best in the world! A huge thanks to our head coach David Vandas for developing the program to what it is today 🩵

🌊🚣‍♀️ Commonwealth Beach Sprint Champs 🌊🚣‍♀️

Good luck to Freo Rowers Oceane and Thea who will be racing for Australia and Wales respectively at the Commonwealth Rowing Association Beach Sprint Champs in Barbados!

Oceane will be racing for Australia in the U19 Womens Solo at 11:03pm AWST. Thea will be racing for Wales in the Open Mixed Double at 12:45am AWST.

Good luck to the both of them! Race hard, the whole of FRC is backing you 🩵
