Izzy is a valued member of MSOD and supports her dance family in an understated respectful way. We have Izzys back because I know she always has mine. Today was such a beautiful moment for us both and I am so honoured to share this with a dancer who is so deserving.
At 16 I left the region to go and pursue a professional dance career at Academy of Queensland Ballet. Before I left I donated a perpetual trophy to Lismore Eisteddfod for the most promising Waltz Tapper 12yrs and over. I have loved Waltz tap from a young age and know it is one of the hardest tap disciplines to master.
For many years I have seen absolutely beautiful dancers recieve this award and never imagined oneday my own student would recieve this award. Here we are and I could not be more proud of this young woman because of what she has contributed to our studio but also the tap community in our area and beyond. Izzys tap style is cool, collected but a treat to rhythmical ears.
Your MSOD Family loves you and I am beyond happy for you to be the first studio member to win such a special award 💛💙
