With our NBFC | Hall of Fame & Past Players Day celebrations taking place this Saturday during half-time of the O’Rourke Realty A Grade clash at Charles Riley Reserve, we are proud to announce the third and final member of our 2026 Hall of Fame class, Josh McGinnity.
For more than a decade, Josh embodied everything that makes North Beach Football Club special. A player of remarkable consistency, durability and football intelligence, he built a career that places him among the most respected and accomplished Tigers of his generation.
Across 245 games in the red, yellow and black, Josh was a player teammates could always rely on. Whether operating across half forward, pushing through the midfield or finding a way to impact the contest when it mattered most, his football smarts, composure and uncanny goal sense made him one of the competition’s most dangerous and dependable performers.
A Colts Premiership captain, seven-time A Grade Premiership player, five-time State representative and dual All-Australian, Josh’s achievements speak for themselves. Yet those who played alongside him will tell you that statistics alone do not capture his influence.
Josh was the ultimate team player. Humble, resilient and fiercely committed to the club, he led through actions rather than words. His ability to consistently perform in big games earned him two Gary Tait Medals, while his longevity and durability saw him become one of the most trusted figures throughout one of the greatest eras in North Beach history.
His contribution to the club extended beyond his playing career through ongoing involvement as a player sponsor, supporter and valued member of the North Beach community.
Josh McGinnity’s legacy is one of excellence, loyalty and unwavering commitment to the North Beach Football Club, making him a deserving addition to the Hall of Fame.
Congratulations to Josh McGinnity, the third and final inductee of our 2026 Hall of Fame class.
Join us at Charles Riley Reserve on Saturday as we celebrate our Hall of Fame inductees, milestone reunions, past players and the proud history of the North Beach Football Club.
