As we enter the mid season bye we saw a "split" result with a win for the 12s and a narrow defeat for our 15s.

There is something about when the Bulldogs come to Bunton Park. In 2025 we had a frost that thick there were penguins sliding around on the ground. This week cold and wet was the order of the day.

Our 12s were set some challenges today. Leadership, structures and discipline. We moved players out of their comfort zones and were really impressed with the way they embraced it.

Our 15s had a really tough slog. Every score was hard earned. Every contest fierce. With only 4 points in it in the dying minutes the Bulldogs got one over the back and scored to seal it.

We now have a bit of a break. In this time we will start looking at building plans for the second half of the season and perhaps sneak a few cheeky sunday sleep ins.

If you have been following the North Albury Girls journey Bunton Park will be your home away from home this weekend.

On Saturday our North Albury Little League Football Club (Auskick) girls will take centre stage at half time when The Hoppers take on Myrtleford. Get along and cheer on the girls. It would be great to see a big crowd supporting the club as a whole.

On Sunday we welcome Wodonga Bulldogs to Bunton Park. The Doggies have worked hard to drive female football and we always have a great hit out. U12s Kick off at 930am followed by the 15s at 11.00am.

Come along and support female football on the border.

Hoppers on 3. 1,2,3!!!!

On a perfect autumn day our girls jumped the border to take on the Wodonga Raiders. Birallee park is one of the most spectator friendly grounds in the area and our girls came away with two wins.

After a few losses it was nice to sing the song loud and proud again.

Thanks Raiders for hosting us.

This week the Bulldogs will join us at Bunton Park. Lets make them welcome and have another great day playing and watching our great game.

This week we celebrate our volunteers. All volunteers are of immense value at a footy club and often it is tough to celebrate an individual over the collective.

Except in this case.....
Nick Mcdonald is a husband, a Dad, A business owner of Electric Blue Services PTY LTD and a footy coach. He enters each of these roles with amazing energy and future focus.

Whats on his mind?
What can we give to ensure our girls get the opportunities they deserve? What will North Albury look like in 5 years time?
Why are most of the girls i coach taller than me?

Nick rarely looks for gratitude and just gets on with it around the club. We may not love the running he makes us do but there is no doubt he is all about the current and future development of our amazing club.

Go and grab a coffee from Bennies Brew on Schubach st. A couple of donuts from Daniels then get to the gym and burn it all off.

You deserve it!

WHAT A MASSIVE WEEK!!!

Monday: An amazing session with our Auskick and Juniors Families with the Carlton Football Club.

Wednesday: An insightful, player led session into Mental Health and wellbeing.

Sunday.....

We travel across to Birallee Park to take on the Raiders. While we may get a Sunday sleep in from our usual start times we need to be on our game and would love a strong crowd to cheer us on.

In National Volunteer week please take a moment to thank someone around both clubs for the efforts that they put in to keep our girls playing our amazing game.

Tonight was something all of us should be really proud of. Almost 60 girls from our Junior and North Albury Little League Football Club (Auskick) programs out having a kick and some fun with the Carlton Football Club AFLW team. A great skills session followed by a Q and A in which the girls got to grill the girls on everything from. Do you get nervous before a game? to Do you like playing in the rain?

Be very proud of your Hoppers girls. I know we are.

This Wednesday 20th May we are fortunate to be hosting a mental wellbeing and culture workshop to be run by Tim Cook from Outside the Locker Room (OTLR).

Their program has been developed in partnership with mental health and youth service experts and is delivered by both trained program facilitators and registered mental health professionals.

Through their partnership with the O&M it is free of charge and is open to all players and parents.

It will be held in the sports club at Bunton Park and will run from 6pm to 7.30pm. A dinner will be provided by the club.

An event has been created in the Heja schedule. Please RSVP by Monday to assist us with catering.
