Adelaide Swords Club

Adelaide Swords Club South Australia's oldest fencing club. Regular beginner courses offered for newcomers of all ages. Established foil, epee and sabre fencers all welcome.

Adelaide Swords Club is South Australia's oldest and largest fencing club. Our members range from national champions and Australian team members to social fencers and absolute beginners. We run monthly try sessions for adults, and beginner courses for kids six times a year. These are run by friendly, experienced coaches and all equipment is provided! Check our website for the next starting date.

A fun weekend of fencing was had at the 2026 Veterans Challenge and 2026 Oceania Veterans Competition in Canberra.

SA was well represented in the competition with CSFC's Pouyan Oshaghi winning gold in Mens Foil and Mixed Sabre and Darren Ferguson winning Bronze in Mens Epee.

ASC's Helen Swan came 5th in Women's Epee and was part of the Bronze winning Women's Epee Team Yellow. Alison Wotherspoon came in 10th in Womens Epee and was in the Silver winning Women's Epee Team Green along with ASC regular visitor Nadine Ferguson who was 7th in Women's Epee.

Great to catch up with the veteran gang and looking forward to fencing them all again in Melbourne at D.H.McKenzie AFC 1!

Congratulations to Bridget for competing in her first national championship! Although our SA fencers didn’t make the podium this year they had a great experience fencing a much wider group of fencers, and meeting new and catching up with old friends from all around Australia and New Zealand!
