Exercise Physiology management can be a powerful tool for managing symptoms of ADHD & promoting a state of calm and sustained focus. Working in a clinical environment, we encourage choice (this empowers effort & autonomy) and coach children to breathe intentionally and slowly prior to activity (calm the systems & clear decision making). Some of the finer details can have the most profound impact 😊

We work with children living with ASD. Exercise Physiologists can play a huge role in developing motor skills and confidence for school, sport and everyday life. Approximately 1 in 40 Australians are diagnosed with ASD under the age of 25.

Meeting new people, new routines and new places can be overwhelming so leading with “trust” and building familiarity within the therapy environment is really important. Secondly, engaging with interests and positive re-enforcemnt of effort can be really powerful for driving motivation. Through games, movement, drills and working together we can create some really positive outcomes 😊

We work with children living with Dyspraxia (DCD). Dyspraxia is a motor coordination disorder that affects how the brain plans and processes movement. It effects 5-6% of children, which is roughly 1 in every classroom! The domino effect on one’s health and wellbeing can be significant. As Exercise Physiologists, we help manage the “motor gaps,” fatigue, and coordination challenges that come with this.
✅ Successful skill development
✅ Rhythm & Timing of movement
✅ Body awareness in space
We work on the fundamentals, we build confidence, we celebrate the wins :)

We work with children living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. EDS is a connective tissue disorder that has a big effect on joint function. As an Exercise Physiologists, we help children manage motor control, fatigue, and clumsiness that often come with this.

✅ Proprioception: Helping the brain “map” where the body is in space.
✅ Joint Stability: Providing the support, muscle endurance, and strength.
✅ Functional Strength: Building the power needed for school, play, and everything in between.

Our aims is to carefully manage fatigue and energy levels whilst using purposeful movement and exercise to create positive outcomes 😊

Is your 5-7 year-old “School Ready” for PE? 🏃‍♂️💨
If your child is navigating ASD, low muscle tone, or hypermobility, these milestones can feel like a mountain.

The Gross motor Checklist:
* ⚖️ Balance: Can they stand on 1 leg for 10 seconds?
* 🦘 Power: Can they hop 10 times on each leg?
* 🎾 Hand-Eye: Can they catch with their hands (no “chest-hugging”)?
* 🏏 Striking: Can they hit a ball with a bat or racquet?
* 🏃‍♀️ Coordination: Are they skipping with a smooth rhythm?
* 🐒 Strength: Can they hang from a bar for 5 seconds
Every child develops at their own pace, but these skills are the building blocks for school and sport.

📍 Mobile sessions are now available in Noosa, Pomona, and Gympie.
DM or comment “READY” to bring developing these key milestones.

Does your child struggle to time their catch?
To catch a ball, a child’s brain has to 1️⃣Judge the arc and speed (Trajectory) & 2️⃣ Move the hands to the right spot at the exact right time.
Why some kids struggle:
▶️Difficulty keeping both eyes tracked on the moving ball.
▶️Challenges predicting where the ball will land based on its starting point.
▶️ Anticipation skills, body awareness and positioning.
