🌵 Save this for after your next contact nap ✨One of my favourite stretches for mums with a new baby!
👼🏼 Hours spent feeding, rocking, cuddling and carrying your baby are beautiful… but also asks a lot of your body.
Over time, many mums find themselves rounded through the upper back, shoulders rolling forward, chest feeling tight, and neck or upper back starting to ache.
One of my favourite ways to gently unwind this is through extension-based movements.
✨ Extension helps to:
• Open through the chest and front of the shoulders
• Encourage movement through the upper back
• Counteract some of the forward posture that comes with feeding and carrying
• Create a sense of space after hours spent curled around your little one
The goal isn’t to force a big backbend—it’s simply to help your body move in the opposite direction to the position it’s been in all day.
Even a few gentle repetitions can leave you feeling more open, more mobile, and a little more like yourself again.
Remember: movement doesn’t have to be complicated to make a difference. 💛
Send this to a new mum who could use a little relief 😅
