Does weight training make women bulky?
Ok so in short.. no.
We get asked this question pretty regularly. There is often a misconception that when you lift weights you will put on bulky muscles. Sure you can put on bulk if you have the right training, diet and erm 'supplementation', but the majority of females simply won't.
You need testosterone to get those gains and women generally have low levels of it. Men typically have more and therefore may put on bigger muscles easier but guess what? Testosterone depletes as we get older anyway. Muscle atrophy (shrinking of muscles) is a real thing BUT can be slowed if you do resistance based training.
We use weight training to; increase muscle tone, slow muscle atrophy, prevent injury, improve blood flow, improve mental health, improve movement and body functionality, BURN FAT and generally feel like a boss.
So you won't do a session and immediately look like Arnie. You will, however, over time become a far stronger, leaner, and more focused version of you.
Hit us up for a trial. We'd love to tell you more.
