📣 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🙌

We’re looking for some amazing volunteers to help run our Canteen throughout the 2026/27 season! 💙

🥪 The canteen will be open every Saturday from October through to February, as well as some Sundays.

✨ No experience is required! All volunteers will receive training on how to operate the kitchen and POS system, so you’ll be fully supported.

Whether you can help regularly or just lend a hand when you’re available, we’d love to hear from you! Every helping hand makes a difference. ❤️

🚨 NEW SIGNING 🚨

Parkfield is very excited to have another pom joining us for the 26/27 season in George Dean!

As a quick opening bowler, George will add depth to our already strong bowling ranks. So far this season for his club Belbroughton he has taken 30 wickets at 21.17 with a best of 5/37. He also peeled off a century batting at number 10 a few weeks ago!

Welcome George, we can’t wait to see your performances on and off field!💙

Parkfield is excited to welcome Dan Laver and Jen Rivers to the Bandits for the 2026/27 season all the way from England!

Here’s a little message from Dan and Jen as they prepare for the upcoming season!

Hi everyone, I’m Dan and I’m excited to be joining Parkfield for the upcoming season. As an all-rounder, I’m looking forward to bringing some energy and versatility to the batting and bowling units. I’ve previously had two experiences in Australia playing in Tasmania then Melbourne which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t wait to get started, meet everyone at the club and contribute to a successful season for Parkfield 🤙

Hi, I’m Jen and I’m really looking forward to joining Parkfield CC for the upcoming season. I’m an opening seam bowler and right handed batter and I’m excited to play in a new environment as it’ll be my first time playing cricket in Aus! I can’t wait to get started and meet everyone 👍

VALE BILL 🕊️

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Bill Fear.

Bill was a familiar face at our Melbourne Cup Day celebrations and a passionate supporter of his son, former Parkfield player Paul. His presence and support over the years will be fondly remembered by many.

On behalf of everyone at Parkfield Cricket Club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Paul, Shaun, and the entire Fear family. Our thoughts and love are with you all during this difficult time.

Rest in peace Bill.

Parkfield is excited to announce that Madhushi Muthukuda has re-committed for the 2026/27 season! 💙

Dushi is one of the most committed and hardworking members of our club, always looking for ways to improve her game and give her best for the team. Her dedication at training and on match day is a reflection of the passion and determination she brings to this group.

A dependable batter, a gun fielder, and someone we always back when we need a crucial breakthrough. Madushi is an invaluable part of our side. Whether it is batting out the overs, claiming an important wicket, or making sure nothing gets past her in the field, she always steps up when it matters most.

Off the field, she will always be there to make sure the brownie supply for afternoon tea never runs dry!

🚨 RECOMMITTED 🚨

Another massive piece of the club locked in!

We’re thrilled to have Chris Pond recommit for the 2026/27 season.

Over the past few years, Pondy has poured an enormous amount into the Parkfield Cricket Club. Through his roles as Vice President and 2nd XI Captain, he has been a driving force behind the club both on and off the field, helping shape the culture and direction of the group.

Of course, he also won’t let anyone forget that he (co)captained the 2nd XI to a premiership, and rightly so.

But beyond the silverware and the leadership titles, Pondy has consistently been someone who puts the club first. Whether it’s behind the scenes, helping players, organising club matters, or supporting teammates, his contribution to Parkfield has been immense.

This season, Pondy has made the decision to step away from his official leadership positions, allowing others the opportunity to step up while giving himself the chance to focus on his own cricket. While he’ll still be around helping wherever he can, this change provides an exciting circuit breaker and an opportunity for him to concentrate solely on his game.

We’re looking forward to seeing what a refreshed Pondy can produce this season and, as always, we know his experience and passion for the club will continue to have a huge impact.

A true clubman goes around again!

We’re absolutely thrilled to have Stevie Cannon recommit for the 2026/27 season.

A Parkfield man through and through, Stevie has been a part of the fabric of our club for many years. Having led the 1st XI for a number of seasons and spent countless years serving on the committee, Stevie has been one of the club’s great cultural drivers and leaders both on and off the field.

Last season saw Stevie step down as 1st XI captain after many years at the helm. Beginning the season in the 2nd XI, he played an important role in mentoring younger players and emerging leaders while continuing to lead through his actions and experience.

After piling on 248 runs at an outstanding average of 48.4, Stevie forced his way back into the 1st XI during the run home and played an important role in our side.

More than the runs and performances, Stevie’s love for the Parkfield Cricket Club is obvious to everyone who knows him. His passion, leadership, and willingness to always put the club first make him an incredibly important figure within our playing group.

We’re incredibly excited to see Stevie pull on the blue and white once again in 2026/27.

🚨RECOMMITTED 🚨

We’re excited to announce the recommitment of Grace Lewis for the 2026/27 season.

The numbers speak for themselves on what an important role she plays for our women’s team. After another outstanding season, Grace finished with 270 runs at an average of 33.75, including a top score of 85 and three half centuries. With the ball, she’s just as impactful, claiming 7 wickets at an impressive average of 16.14.

Her all round performances didn’t go unnoticed, earning her a well deserved spot in the League Team of the Year. A player who brings consistency, control, and match winning ability, we can’t wait to see what she delivers this season.

Off-field she is a valued member of Parkfield who is always committed to helping the club and having a good time. I’m sure it won’t be long until she is asking for the events schedule 🍻
