🏁 THE REFEREE CHALLENGE 2026 🏁

Proudly presented by Bayzoil Truck & Autospares and Ozzie Workwear Hervey Bay — meet your Referee Challenge teams! 👀🔥

This season, our referees have been split into six teams, with the challenge bringing some friendly competition to The Pod while helping us maintain high refereeing standards across the board.

🦜 Trippin’ Toucans
🦛 Hazardous Hippos
⚡ Electrified Eagles

💙 Bayzoil Truck & Auto Spares teams make up “POD”
🐼 Patrol Pandas
🛢️ Oily Outlaws

Together — THE POD 🙌

Throughout the season, teams will earn points for things like correct uniform and presentation, attendance and reliability, helping out when needed, maintaining referee standards, getting involved and a few bonus challenges along the way. 👀

Every point counts, with our team captains leading the charge and plenty of bragging rights on the line! 🏆

🚨 SENIOR PLAYER REQUIREMENT NOTICE – ROUND 2 🚨

We still have teams sitting BELOW the required 6 fully registered players — and if you don’t hit the minimum, you’ll miss out on the draw AGAIN.

⏰ Deadline: MONDAY MORNING
Every team must have a minimum of 6 fully registered players to remain in the Round 2 draw.

Then the chase is on… 👀

➡️ ALL teams must reach 11 fully registered players by Round 3 — NO EXCEPTIONS.

We are AT CAPACITY, so now is the time to get onto your players and get those registrations sorted. Don’t leave it until the last minute and risk your team missing out.

Missed Round 1? There’s still time to join us!

Junior registrations to enter Round 2 close this Sunday, 13 September. If your child is wanting to play this season, make sure their registration is completed before the deadline.

No worries! Register as an individual and we’ll do our best to find them a team in their appropriate division.

Unfortunately, due to the current weather conditions, all junior games scheduled for today have been cancelled.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate everyone’s understanding. 💙
These games will be caught up later in the season.

The extra time will allow our team to continue working through late registrations, team changes and getting our junior teams organised before we hit the fields next week.

Our referees are a huge part of what keeps The Pod running each week, and with a BIG Season 3 ahead of us, we’re chasing more referees to join the crew! 🫡

Whether you’ve reffed before or you’re completely new to it, we’d love to hear from you. We can help get you trained, confident and out on the fields earning some extra cash while being part of The Pod referee team.
