Situated halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide, the Nhill Golf Club is known as the Wimmera’s best kept secret. Large manicured greens, amoung the best in Victoria, complement the flat to slightly undulating tree-lined fairways, with beautifully shaped and positioned bunkers. The course is watered all year keeping it in excellent condition. Due to the abundance of bore and recycled water, it does

not suffer from the drought conditions which affect many other courses in Victoria. The course length for the men is 5,692 metres, par 70, ACR 70. The current official course record is 67, proving that it is not as easy as it looks. Nhill Golf Club Inc., the 17th club to join the V.G.A., is rich in history having been around since 1898 making it one of the oldest clubs in the Wimmera. The club’s major tournament is played over the Queens Birthday weekend in June each year. It attracts over 500 entries from across Victoria and South Australia for the 5-day event. Smaller tournaments are played in Spring and Autumn each year. The club and course are in tournament condition all year round. Ladies competition - Wednesday mornings. Open competition, Saturday - midday tee off.
