On Saturday the 13th of June 6 crazy/brave men swam around 18 holes for the monthly medal.

Winner of the day, the green jacket and the pewter mug, with an 81-6-75, was Jimmy Philip. Have a look at him there grinning like a Cheshire cat after only deciding to play at the last minute.

Tony "ToFo" Foley came second on a countback from GT.

Nearest the pins - Greg Sampson got 2, Doddsy got 2 and the other one went begging.

No change from the Ladies winners on Wednesday (Kerri Lynch winning from Eunice) as the remaining challengers sensibly stayed home.

Monday was the final day of the Nhill Golf Club's Annual June Tournament for 2026. It was a day where every stroke counted with 18 hole competitions for both the Men and the Ladies and the 36 hole Lowan Cup for the Men.

Winner of the Ladies 18 hole Stroke Competition was Libby Lacey with 84 off the stick.

Winner of the Lowan Cup, the 36 hole Men's event was Casey Schmidt from Horsham with 149.

Congratulations to all of the other winners on the day, too numerous to mention.

Stroke was played for the first half of monthly medal the second round to be played on Saturday 13th.

Phew we made it, 4 glorious days of golf played at the Nhill Golf Club over the Kings Long Weekend. Almost 500 rounds of golf played, 500 lunches and afternoon teas served, 200 evening meals served, 90 changes of pin placements, 4 very early cold and dark morning rolls of the greens. and then the cold refreshments served at the bar, and the generosity of cart owners that allowed the club to hire them out. A mighty mighty effort by everyone. Thank you to all that volunteered in whatever capacity, thankyou to the Sponsors of the weekend, Nhill IGA plus Liquor, Nhill Pharmacy, Dunn Ezy, Green Taylor Partners, Shannon Bros, Westmix Concrete and Westvic Spares and Luv A Duck. Truly amazing, a job well done. See you all again next year

Sunday was a MASSIVE day for the Nhill Golf Club. The 4 Person Ambrose drew a field that is believed to be the biggest ever assembled for an event at the Nhill Golf Club of 168 golfers. It was a very enjoyable day helped by perfect weather.

Winners of the 4 Person Ambrose with a nett 54.125 was Brendan Launer, Riley Launer, Ben Marra and Phillip Dickinson.
Runners-up with 54.625 were Sam Leith, Josh Leith, Steven Leith and Aaron Leith.
In third place were Trevor Polkinghorne, Ben Po***ck, Benn Pola and Josh Cramer with 55.25.
Fourth place went to Aaron Jennings, Dale Schmid, Louis Ballinger and Jake Dixon-Macdonald with 55.625.
