Meet our Season 27’ Assistant Coach:

Jamee Cousens-

Announcing our assistant (playing) coach for 2027, Jamee Cousens! Jamee is a formidable football player who’s determination and grit inspires those around her. We think she’s going to make a great assistant coach in 2027 as she is passionate about women and girls in sport, and her values align strongly with the TEDFNC culture. Jamee has been an important part of the TEDFNC community as a player in 2025 and a development coach in 2026, taking a year off playing to welcome her third little Roo. Jamee is an impressive human on and off the field, our girls are glad she’s got their backs.

Meet our Season 27’ Head Coach:

Matt Dean-

We are excited to announce our head coach for 2027 will be Matt Dean. Matt is no stranger around the club. He's been with the club since playing as a junior in the 80's to captaining the senior team from 2001 to 2004 when he hung up the boots (albeit temporarily). This past year he has been a valuable volunteer and has enjoyed watching his daughter play in his old number. We're very excited for what he's going to bring to our football club both on and off the field. Welcome back Matt!

There are so many ways our club could show its appreciation and gratitude to our President, who will be stepping down after five years of dedicated service. But we chose something that will last forever… 🤍💙

LIFE MEMBER – LUCY McRae

Today, we proudly celebrate an incredibly special person in our club and officially welcome Lucy McRae to our Life Member Board!

Lucy’s journey with our club began in 2017 as a netball player before taking to the football field in 2018. In 2022, Lucy stepped into the role of Club President, where she has given an extraordinary five years of leadership, dedication and guidance.

With eight amazing years at our club, we truly cannot think of anyone more deserving of this honour. Lucy has given so much to our club, both on and off the field, and her passion, commitment and love for our community have made a lasting impact.

Thank you, Lucy, for everything you do. You are an amazing individual, mum, player, friend and supporter, and we are so lucky to have you as part of our club family. 💙

We can’t wait to see your playing energy back on the field next year, but for now, we want to take a moment to appreciate and celebrate everything you have done through your incredible leadership and guidance.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR - Reece Bowerman🤍💙

A huge congratulations to our very own Reece on his nomination for the club person of the Year Award! 👏🦘

From taking on the role of Treasurer, managing paperwork, sponsors, bar and canteen orders, planning events and helping make Sponsors Day a success, Reece is always working tirelessly behind the scenes for our club. He has also taken on the grants for our exciting new lights and scoreboard!

Always logical, level-headed and willing to help wherever needed, Reece’s quiet dedication and commitment to our Roo family certainly does not go unnoticed. We are incredibly lucky to have you! 🤍💙

A special thank you also to Deputy Mayor Anita Carr for joining us, delivering a wonderful speech and presenting this special award. Anita has a long and special history with our club, from playing netball in the early 2000s to returning in 2014 and contributing as a player, coach, Vice President and committee member.

With such a strong connection to our club, there was no better person to help us celebrate one of our incredible volunteers! 🤍💙

Congratulations Reece, and thank you to our deputy mayor Anita Carr for being part of such a special celebration and club 💙
