TURF SQUAD ADDITIONS

We’re excited to welcome two more quality players to our turf squad for the upcoming season.

Taran Sran returns to the club after a couple seasons away and we’re looking forward to seeing him make an impact with the ball this year.

We also welcome Sunny Singh, who joins us after playing a few years with Jan Juc. Sunny is a competitive all-rounder, capable of strong hitting and very handy with the ball.

Great to have both boys on board — looking forward to what they can bring this season and beyond.

Turf Squad Announcement.

We’re excited to welcome the following players into our Turf Squad for season 2026/27:

Jaydip comes off a standout season with St Albans/Breakwater 2nd XI, amassing over 500 runs and strengthening our batting line-up.

Parth Patel joins from St Albans/Breakwater as an opening batter who can also contribute with the ball, adding valuable all-round depth.

Charul also arrives from St Albans/Breakwater – a former First XI player with Guild and the ability to impact games in any situation.

Jot Virk joins us from Melbourne, a hard-working bowler who also adds strength in the lower order batting.

These additions strengthen our Second XI while creating real pressure on First XI spots — exactly what’s needed to lift standards across the group.

First XI Announcement.

We’re excited to welcome another key addition to our First XI for the 2026/27 season — Guri Virk.

Coming across from the North West Metropolitan league, Guri is a wicketkeeper-batsman with a complete 360° game. A steady presence at the crease with excellent technique, he can adapt to any situation and keep the scoreboard moving.

Behind the stumps, Guri is just as impressive — a sharp and reliable keeper who adds real strength to our side.

A quality all-round addition who will play a big role for us this season.

First XI recruiting announcement -

Welcome to Guild St Mary’s, Chan Dhaliwal.

We’re excited to announce Chan will be joining the club for the 2026/27 season.

Coming across from the North West Metropolitan league, Chan is a classy top-to-middle-order batsman who brings composure and elegance to the crease. His ability to build an innings and support those around him will be a huge asset to what is already a strong batting line-up.

Chan’s addition adds even more depth and balance to our First XI as we continue building towards a big season ahead.

🏏 Season Wrap & Presentation Night – Guild St Mary’s CC 🏏

What a fantastic way to wrap up the season with a great presentation night celebrating everything we’ve achieved as a club. It was awesome to see so many players, families, and supporters come together to recognise a strong year both on and off the field.

This season showed the growth of the club — with teams pushing deep into the season and a real sense of momentum building. We’re in a great position moving forward and there’s plenty to be excited about.

🏏 GRAND FINAL RESULT – SECOND XI 🏏

Unfortunately it wasn’t our day, going down to Little River in the Grand Final.

Batting first, we posted 150, with Vijay Ramesh (42) and TJ Singh (35) leading the way.

Despite our efforts with the ball, Little River chased it down finishing 2/154. Wickets to Vijay Ramesh (1/17) and Justin Larkins (1/10) weren’t quite enough to slow them.

Grand Finals are a different game — anything can happen. Having beaten them four times during the season, we went in confident, but full credit to Little River who were the better side on the day.

That said, it shouldn’t take away from what has been a fantastic season. To finish on top and make another Grand Final is a huge achievement and something the group should be really proud of. 💪

A big thank you to Kev O’Leary for his leadership throughout the year and to every player who pulled on the shirt and contributed to such a strong campaign.

We’ll learn from it, come back stronger, and go again.

They will play tomorrow at 11:00am at Walker Reserve.

🏏 GRAND FINAL – SECONDS 🏏

This is what it’s all about. Our Second XI are Grand Final bound again this weekend and ready to put it all on the line against Little River.

After a fantastic season finishing on top, the boys have earned their shot — now it’s time to bring it home. 💪
