Why our coaching at Strength Lab HQ is different šŸ‘‡

At Strength Lab, education isn’t a buzzword, it’s the foundation of how we coach.

Our team is committed to university-level education, but more importantly, we know how to translate evidence into real-world results.

That means:
• Programs grounded in science
• Coaching that adapts to real humans
• No cookie-cutter plans or jargon
• Education that empowers, not overwhelms

We don’t just study the evidence, we apply it, daily, on the gym floor.

Over the next few posts, we’ll introduce the coaches who make this possible.

Follow us to meet the team!

Adam | Strength Coach

Fun fact about me, I originally studied marine biology after high school while working part-time as a rowing coach. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for working with athletes and helping them achieve success.

In 2020, I decided to complete my Certificate IV in Fitness, which opened doors for me to work across various commercial gyms, assisting clients of all levels. Shortly thereafter, I took on the role of Head Coach for the West Beach SLSC, where I led crews across all divisions to impressive results.

In recent years, I’ve developed a keen interest in Olympic lifting and have pursued additional accreditations in this field. This has naturally led me to focus more on Strength and Conditioning coaching.

I derive immense satisfaction from seeing my clients thrive, whether they’re mastering new movements, living pain-free, or simply enjoying the journey. My passion for coaching drives me to continually advance my education to provide the best support possible to clients.

Vincent | Strength Coach

Hi, I’m Vincent.

I’ve been coaching since 2019, and in that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients—from those looking to improve their overall fitness and strength to athletes competing at the national level in powerlifting. My approach to coaching is rooted in a genuine passion for movement and a commitment to continuous learning.

I’m currently studying for a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of South Australia. This ongoing education allows me to stay up-to-date with the latest in sports science, which I apply directly to my coaching. At Strength Lab, I focus on helping clients manage injuries while ensuring they receive personalised and effective training programs tailored to their specific goals.

Whether you’re looking to get stronger, manage an injury, or take your powerlifting to the next level, I’m here to support you with practical advice and coaching that’s rooted in both experience and education.

Ever thought one of the most incredible lessons you can learn at the gym is how to fail?

Whhhhhhaaaatttt!! Yep, I said it!

Life's hard. Challenges are part of our daily grind. We mess things up, make mistakes, and often feel pretty down about the twists and turns life takes. But here's the deal: failing is a crucial skill you master in training. Failing at reps, failing at sets—guess what? The world doesn't end! Your life isn't over. The weights don't judge; they teach you how to overcome barriers and how to succeed. Just because you couldn't do something today doesn't mean you can't next week.

So, here's the kicker: Even though it sucks when it happens, failing in the gym is good. It's good because it means you're trying...

And guess what??? This is the same in your life outside of the gym. If you're failing, it means you're showing up. You're trying. And whatever the goal, if you keep trying and you keep showing up, it will happen!

Effort is attractive. Failing is an important part of growing, learning, and ultimately succeeding! šŸ’ŖāœØ Ready to embrace the lessons of failure and turn them into success? Take that first step—join us and let's crush those barriers together! šŸ‹ļøā€ā™‚ļøšŸš€
