Sylvie is now back in the country and back with her owner in Sydney.
As you can see, she has come through the accident without too much damage thanks to rider, David Duf Woolsey putting himself between the bike and anything black, hard or vertical!!
Duf’s recovery continues at speed and he is pleased to have just entered the QEMSC Queensland Early Motorcycle Sports Club
Carnell Classic meeting in April, which is held just outside Stanthorpe, QLD. He will be racing his Seeley Matchless G50.
Our journey to Goodwood with the Godet Grey Flash is now over and we would sincerely like to thank the owner for the loan of the bike.
Sylvie’s outstanding, debut performance at Goodwood was due to Greg Brillus’s attention to detail. The fact that she was a circa 1950 replica and performed 2nd fastest across the line at 102.1mph (fastest was 103.4mph and 3rd was 100.6mph) proves that Greg's Vincent tuning skills were fundamentally spot on.
Well done Greg Brillus and thank you.
We also want to thank those of you who helped us to make the trip to Goodwood possible.
From the odd $50 cash donation to those of you around the country who supported the Go fund Me Page.
Thank you to QEMSC Queensland Early Motorcycle Sports Club,
Historic Motor Cycle Racing Register of South Australia, Wynnum Marine and Ongmac Trading for their very generous sponsorship.
Please know what a difference you made.
