If you are still looking for a winter activity for the kids,
Kensington Junior Netball Club’s highly regarded NetSetGo program will be running a development squad for beginners (girls and boys) during term two.
It’s a great way to put those running, jumping and throwing skills to good use!

KJNC will be running a netball development squad targeted at new players, starting April 24, 2026.
Sessions will be held at Kensington's Holy Rosary Primary School on Fridays between 4-5pm.
Girls and boys aged five to 10 years old can register: no previous experience is necessary!

What a fabulous weekend a handful of our athletes had at Stawell! U12 Maggie ended up finishing 4th in the LAVic Girls 100m handicap (after blitzing her opponents in her semi final)👊! U16 Cooper ran an epic LAVic 1600m handicap off scratch, days after getting Doctor’s clearance to run after busting a finger. Cooper passed an incredible 32 athletes to cross the line in 4th place (beaten only by athletes starting 170m, 90m and 95 metres in front of him! Incredible💪! U14s Charlize and Nancy found time between races to squeeze in a selfie 📸 with Women’s Stawell Gift winner Sha’Carri Richardson. And both U9 Alfie and U12 Anika ran their hearts out in multiple races 😍. Well done everyone!

U12 Maggie has made it to the final of the LAVic Stawell Gift 100m!
Maggie will be wearing a pink bib. Cheer her on by watching the final at 3:55, streamed on 7plus.
The boys final starts at 3:45pm.

What an absolutely EPIC season-ending Centre Champs we had last weekend! Over 300 athletes, 586 PBs 🤩 and 11 CENTRE RECORDS 🙌. The whole track was a hive of activity, from our Under 6s all trying their hearts out 🥰to our Under 17s, also giving their all in their final local competition as "little athletes". We wish them all well and hope to still see them around the club in the future!
All our centre record makers did incredibly well; Under 15 Amelie proved her recent State Championship runs weren't a one off, running the fastest 1500m by any female athlete in our history (that's 58 or so years!!) We had U10 Cooper absolutely smash his previous SP record, (and even bettered the Under 11 record, but he'll have to wait 'til next season to cement that!) U13 Macy continued to add to her pile of records this season, nabbing 2 more on the day, as did U17 Armani, who waited for her final couple of events to improve on her Javelin and High Jump results from earlier in the season. Under 17 Isla improved on her 1500m record at every opportunity, and Saturday was no exception. While Under 13 Lenny gave an almighty javelin throw, proving his recent inclusion in the ALAC meet in Brisbane next month a worthy choice. And we had Under 7s Huw and Theodore ensure it wasn't just the older kids getting all the attention, and Under 8 Harvey putting to bed a 60m Hurdles record held since 1986! Amazing competing everyone!

Exciting news for U13 Lenny, who has been selected to compete for Victoria in the Australian Little Athletics Championships in Brisbane next month! Lenny will be competing in javelin (of which he broke the centre record in last week at our champs day!) Go Lenny!!
