🌟 2026 LIWA Conference 🌟

Last week Mel, Krystal, Pete, Alice, Jettah & Abby flew down to Perth to attend a 2-day intensive conference. Learning new strategies in managing teams, water chemistry, and getting ideas for new programs! They were lucky enough to hear speeches from Jelena Dokic, Micheal McQueen, Peter Bell & many other inspirational individuals.

🏆Upon conclusion of the conference, the staff got all dressed up and to attend the WA Aquatic & Recreation Industry Awards for the nominations below:

Krystal Thompson - Emerging Leader of the Year & Aquatic Technical Operator of the Year
Alice Singer - Swim Teacher of the Year
Newman Aquatic Centre - Aquatic Facility Safety Award
Nullagine Swimming Pool - Community Impact Award

Swim the East Pilbara - 955 Virtual Swim Challenge has concluded!

🏊 Newman swimmers swam a collective 772km over the past 12 weeks! Swimming all the way to Chinaman Gorge - just shy of Cape Keraudren.
