Super Studio energy this week.

I am thrilled seeing the incredible progressions.

Detail in movement.
Precision and timing.
Alignment and position in space.
Deep engagement.
Careful breath work.

You do it all and you get results. Simple. Just not easy.

It all contributes towards building your body and mind to become a more powerful force.

And September bookings are now open, if the above is your thing.

Great to have some more riders discovering the profoundly valuable feedback that “Sven” Better Rider Project gives to position, alignment and symmetry.

He’s been fully booked for his month with me and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and exploring rider biomechanics with him and my fabulous clients.

Great job everybody 🙌

I’m very lucky to have “Sven” on secondment!

Whilst Lissanthea from Better Rider Project is away, this fine fellow is hanging out at my Studio.

Today was a very productive session with one of my lovely long term clients.

After becoming familiar with the general setup, we worked through the test scenario, which gives riders a number of movement challenges, offers real time feedback on their symmetry and then sends out the results direct to their inbox.

We were also able to work on cues to help create correct engagement and alignment, and probably most positively, we were able to problem solve a pain issue in the saddle and come up with an off horse solution.

My lovely client now has a new set of tools to help her with her riding, and strengthening exercises to aid longevity and performance.

A super session 💪🙌⭐️

This is how some of my clients booked in online for their August sessions! ….. sitting on the side of a mountain on the other side of the world 🤣
If that’s not dedication, well I don’t know what is! If you’re a regular client and haven’t yet booked, get on it!
If you want to join the Studio, then simply get in touch 😊

The Performance Pilates Studio:

It’s a place where each client is trained to better understand their body and to challenge it.
The work here is targeted, not generalised, and no class is ever the same.
Progress happens before my eyes every day. Sometimes it’s small gains and other times it’s serious breakthroughs. It’s always monitored and acknowledged, because it’s important for these client gains to be recognised - regularly.
Then the addiction of improvement creeps in and you’re hooked.
Thanks for joining me, it really is great fun 🤩

In my previous posts on pelvic mobility in the rider, we looked at pelvic range of movement and pelvic control. In order to create and maintain this, you need to train it. This is where load is crucial. I am using a 15mm resistance band which you can purchase here https://www.positivetension.com.au/shop/ ……. if you’re interested in the full explanation of this exercise feel free to view the video of it here https://vimeo.com/1209198469?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci Happy riding 🐴 Jess

Another long one, following on from my last post about pelvic mobility in the rider. Here, with the assistance of a ball and a box, I’m exploring the mechanics of the rise trot for the horserider, using the pelvic position as the reference point. There’s a tonne more detail that’s not included here for times sake, but I hope it provides some useful information for you. Happy riding….Jess 🐴😉

Not a short reel. I like detail way too much. I teach a lot of riders and we do a heap of work on pelvic control and assessing ranges of movement with and without load. This is a simple way to assess your ability to disassociate your pelvis from your rib cage and shoulder girdle - but also to see what your range of movement is like and how fluid it is. Precision is everything in riding. Body control and awareness need to reign supreme. Once you’ve got this movement happening, we add load, change orientation and complement it with a host of other exercises designed to build capacity, competency and control. If you find this useful, let me know 😉
