We’re excited to announce the Australian team heading to Kenya for the starting next week! Led by Captain Sam Lang, who, with Ziad Abbas reached the finals in the inaugural 2018 World Cup, the team is packed with big tournament experience.

* Sam Lang (c): Returns to skipper the LMS Australian side - nearly 20,000 at an average of 47 (strike rate 222), over 650 , and close to 100 dismissals as a wicketkeeper, providing multiple options for the team.
* Ziad Abbas: Power hitter with almost 10,000 runs at an average of 49, over 300 wickets, and known for his big-hitting capabilities. He is a proven match winner on the big occasion.
* Danny Batra: Australian Over-40s representative with over 15,000 runs, 210 fifties at an average over 100 (better than Bradman), and 260 wickets. He will be the the innings are built around.
* Nick Murphy: Phenomenal left-arm swing , on display at the LMS Masters in Barbados this year, with 300 wickets at an average of 17, and a batting average over 50.
* Brad McGrath: Experienced player with the destructive power and range of shots to turn any LMS game in a few overs. With 15,700 runs at an average of 58, over 400 wickets, an economy of 6.5 and a stunning strike rate of 212.
* Michael Hawkins: Top order batsman with nearly 15,000 runs at an average of 95 at a strike rate of 187 (includes 188 fifties and 5 centuries). Also an exceptional wicket keeper during his 12 year LMS career with 200 dismissals.
* Gus Sloan: Young talent with a average of 65, over 300 wickets at an average of 22, this official 'LMS Legend' will be crucial to the team’s success - a proven champion in many LMS title-winning sides.
* Rhys Longbottom: All-rounder with a tight bowling economy of 5.7, bowling average of 20 with his left handed attacking style providing balance to the line-up. This Spider Monkey is of proud indigenous heritage.
* Trent Thomson (Manager): Classy left-hander with nearly 8,000 runs at an average of 66, he would normally be the first pick of any LMS side. One of the most popular figures in LMS.
