Newcastle University Water Polo Club Welcome to the University of Newcastle Water Polo Club! We also send teams through UoN to compete at University Nationals!

We offer a mixed, social competition in Term 1 and have multiple teams across A–C grades in the Newcastle Water Polo Competition. The Newcastle University Water Polo Club caters for all skill levels, from beginners through to National Representative. Our fantastic Social Competition runs throughout Semester 1 and 2 and everyone of all skill levels are welcome to come and have a throw. We are a fri

endly, non-discriminative and fun club, where all members are just as equal as another. We love our members enjoying their time as well as getting fit, building their skills and becoming a valued team member. A men's and women's team are also selected to play in the Newcastle Water Polo Comp. We also enter the Australian University Games each year. What a first season they’ve had!
A team that truly captures the spirit of NUWP…from those who’ve never played before to those who simply love the game. Sportsmanship, support, and all-round good vibes every single week.
This team was built to get involved, have fun, and cheer each other on no matter the score and they’ve done exactly that.
Huge shoutout to C Grade, and congrats on the first of many seasons to come!

Next shoutout to our B Grade Girls! What a season!! One of our best yet 👏

Huge improvements across the board, from skills to game play, and the constant encouragement for each other never went unnoticed. The team got better every single game and gave it everything in a close semi-final.

We love our B Grade girls… so obviously that means we ALL need to celebrate at the NUWP Ball 🖤🪩

Another great year for A grade, 1 win, 1 draw and plenty of moral victories. The side disrupted the competition as per, but unfortunately the addition of imports still couldn’t sneak us into finals (though got us more wins than did).
