B R E A T H E . . . itβs the most powerful tool we have. - Did you know that teaching children simple breathing techniques is one of the most effective things we can do for their mental health and emotional wellbeing? πΏ - Here are three of our favourite breathing exercises to try with the children in your life β they work for toddlers right through to teens: - 1. Balloon Breathing Place both hands on your tummy. Breathe in slowly through your nose and feel your tummy blow up like a balloon. Hold for a moment. Then breathe out slowly through your mouth and feel the balloon deflate. Repeat three times. π - 2. Star Breathing Hold one hand up like a star. Use the finger of your other hand to slowly trace up each finger as you breathe in, and down each finger as you breathe out. Five fingers, five breaths. β - 3. Lionβs Breath Take a big breath in. Then breathe out through your mouth as wide as you can β stick your tongue out and ROAR like a lion! Kids absolutely love this one. π¦ - Try these tonight at bedtime or first thing in the morning and watch what happens. π - Save this post so you always have it handy! π
