We’ve been a little quiet around here this year… 👀

BUT… we’ve been watching, cheering, celebrating and taking it all in behind the scenes and now….

🏆 FINALS FEVER IS HERE, MAYFIELD! 🏆💜💛

Before we look ahead to this weekend’s MAJOR SEMI FINALS, let’s take a moment to celebrate the results from last week’s Minor Semi Finals! 🔥🏐

💜 Senior 10 Masters came away with a huge win and will now play next week for a spot in the GRAND FINAL! 👏🔥 Congratulations team. we’re right behind you as the finals journey continues!

💛 Senior 1 Meteors unfortunately went down, bringing their season to an end. While the result wasn’t what we hoped for, we could not be prouder of this incredible group of girls. 💜 These players have been part of the Mayfield family for a long time, and it has been so special watching them continue their netball journey together. Congratulations, girls, on an amazing season, you should all be so proud of what you have achieved! 💛🏐

It is with the heaviest of hearts that Mayfield Netball Club shares the sad news of the passing of our much-loved Life Member, Doreen Sneddon.

Doreen was so much more than a Life Member of Mayfield. She was part of the fabric of our club and of Newcastle Netball, dedicating more than 40 years of her life to the game she loved.

She proudly represented our club as both a player and an umpire, giving her time, knowledge and passion to the sport and to the people around her. Her contribution continued well beyond the court, becoming a familiar and much-loved face at Newcastle Netball through her incredible work in the canteen.

For more than four decades, Doreen poured her heart into volunteering. She made the Newcastle Netball canteen her own, creating a place that was so much more than somewhere to grab a bite to eat.

Her impact cannot be measured simply in years of service. Doreen helped create the memories, traditions and sense of community that make netball so special.

For Mayfield Netball Club, Doreen will always be remembered as one of the people who helped shape our club and the wider Newcastle netball community. Her legacy will live on through the countless people she supported, the friendships she formed and the love she gave so freely to our sport.

We will miss her dearly!

Thank you, Doreen, for more than 40 years of giving, caring and making our netball community a better place. We are incredibly grateful to have called you one of our own.

Our deepest condolences and love go to Doreen’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest peacefully Doreen. Forever a part of the Mayfield Netball family. 💜💛

Her funeral is on Tuesday 18th at Pettigrew Mayfield @ 9.30am. After is at Hexham Bowling club

🏐✨ THE SEASON IS HERE! ✨🏐

The wait is over, Mayfield Netball Club! Our 2026 season officially kicks off this coming weekend and we couldn’t be more excited! 🙌

📅 Round 1 begins:
💜 Friday 17th
💛 Saturday 18th

Get ready for big energy, team spirit, and plenty of sideline support as we hit the courts for the first games of the year!

Make sure you’ve got your uniforms ready, arrive with plenty of time, and bring your loudest cheers to support our teams.

Good Morning Parents & Players,

We have received the 2026 court allocations from Newcastle.

Unfortunately, we’ve been moved back to Parkway Courts (27–30). Due to limited lighting at this location, training times will need to be adjusted to ensure everyone can train safely.

⏰ Updated Training Times (effective immediately):
• 8, 10, 12, 13 & 14-year teams: 5:15pm start
• Senior teams: Please report to Court 10 (National side) at 6:30pm

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we adapt to these changes. If you have any questions, please reach out.
