Weekend 2 and I hit the road to travel to Australian Masters Pickleball Australia 🏆 in Sydney. I was lucky enough to get a call up to help out Tassie with Kirsty Ford.

Always nervous going in to a team (especially as No 1 ladies player 😬) where you don’t know many people and the Tassie guys were just fantastic.
Kirsty and I were joined by Tham and Janine and the 8 of us just had the best time. Great games that made us work hard from the start.
Kirsty and I won all our Ladies doubles bar 1 and Ben and I pulled off some unbelievable wins over the two days. Even when we missed the win the games were so good to play.

Definitely my favourite round was the semi against NSW, the level was so high and we all had great battles. We only lost 5/3 and one of the games to get in to a dream breaker was only 21/19, so very close and exciting.
We lost our Bronze medal match to QLD who were just too strong and we all agreed we probably played our medal match a round too early.

Victoria took out 1st place who we only lost 5/3 to so we were pretty pleased with our efforts.
NSW with the Silver and QLD grabbing the Bronze. Congratulations to you all 👏👏👏

Wow! What a busy two weeks we have had.
It started off with Michael, Ryder and I flying to Melbourne so Michael could play in the All Stars Final. All-Stars Pickleball League

What a huge day for The Warriors. They played two final rounds due to washouts and then straight in to the Final rounds. The quality of play was outstanding and The Warriors didn’t disappoint, put up a great fight and lost in the quarters so came 5th out of 16 teams. A great effort and what a fantastic team.
Awards night was definitely a highlight with Michael taking out the MVP for Men’s 40+ but the biggie was when he also received MVP for the whole series 💪💪💪. Such an amazing achievement, started as No 1 draft and finished strong 🤩🤩, a very proud wife and son as we know how much effort Michael has put in with everything else he has to do. A huge thank you to PKF Sydney and Newcastle for being a wonderful sponsor.
Day 2/3… Best of the Best. Michael partnered up with Piers Kwan in the Men’s Doubles and Nina Johnson in the Mixed.
Strong opposition in both events and in both they fought hard but unfortunately come away with 4th.
Thank you to Dave Hustl Pickleball for two stand out events. 👏👏💯

Bar Beach Pickleball Club Championships are on in September. This time we are raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
50% of every entry fee will go to the Leukaemia Foundation to help raise much needed funds and for our event to raise awareness.
Our event is on Sunday the 20th September.
Gender Doubles in the morning and Mixed from lunchtime.
We have 3 categories so everyone can enjoy the day.
Our Social Category, for those who are loving Pickleball and want to join up with a friend and compete in a round robin in a casual, fun environment. Then we have our Intermediate and Advanced Categories where the competition gets a little more serious 😃.
