Newborough parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am at Moe Botanical Gardens, Botanic Drive, Newborough
parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male

or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

This week 96 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 3 were first timers and 10 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 4 different clubs took part.

Newborough parkrun started on 25th February 2017. Since then 3,194 participants have completed 27,571 parkruns covering a total distance of 137,855 km, including 3,424 new Personal Bests. A total of 381 individuals have volunteered 4,225 times.

Hello runners and walkers,

It's the end of the working week and we are all looking forward to our last Winter parkrun for the year tomorrow at Newborough parkrun. We can now start looking forward to longer days and warmer weather as we head into spring.

Our last winter parkrun looks cool and dry with a predicted temperature of 8 deg C at 8am, which will be great for running, but our walkers will need a warn jacket.

I'm looking forward to see everyone tomorrow for Newborough parkrun #445 in the Moe Botanic gardens at 7:50am for the briefing.

Hi everyone this is our midweek callout.

VOUNTEERS - Our core volunteer roster is full for this week, so thank you to everyone have put their names down to help out, without you support we can't run our parkrun.

We do have another volunteer position of Finish Token Support which we would like to fill this week.

What is Finish Token Support I hear you say, well it's someone who helps out by directing the runners/walker after they cross the finish line towards the Finish Token Volunteer to get their finish tokens. They also assists with handing out finish tokens. If you can help out, please let me know.

We have a quite a few vacant positions on our roster for the next few weeks so, if you would like to volunteer, please let me know via this post, direct message or email.

Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday morning.
