GOOGLE GOBBLES FITBIT - APP & WEARABLES

The Fitbit App is now being mothballed and replaced by the Google Health App.

You may have already updated, if you haven't, you will need to very soon. It's not an overly painful update but it is a nuisance plus it is very different, at least superficially.

I personally took up the free 3 month Premium membership to get the best out of it, but that certainly isn't necessary.

I'm not sure how seamless the integration is for our Gym/Coaching App (Trainerize) but so far so good.

I would suggest anyone still hanging on the the nostalgia and familiarity of the Fitbit app, update to Google Health asap. Just be proactive NOT reactive - The Fitbit App wil be deleted by Google, along with ALL your data if you don't update, in September!!

GOOGLE FITBIT AIR WEARABLE RELEASED TODAY!

This is a major disruptor wearable in the market. Fitbit was already #1 fitness wearable, but with the new Google Fitbit Air, it will make performance trackers such as Whoop and Polar VERY nervous.

Hundreds of dollars cheaper, subscription NOT necessary and a tiny, screen free form factor PLUS it will get HUUUUGE third party support....it is a giant killer!

Human's ONLY!

I really don't want to discriminate, but I've decided to only coach humans at the moment!

I apologize to all those who identify as alien, Ai, android or alternative forms of consciousness, but you have to draw the line somewhere right :P

So if you're human and wish to become a 'better human' or you've set your goals even loftier at 'super human', then we'll get on swimmingly.

Plumb Bob Of Death n Coffee!

It was great to see so many old and current Jimmies and Youngsters come by Pedal Bites Coffee Shop today for our Little Jim Gym event!

Pics and video to come but I wanted to quickly thank all those who took time out of their day to stop by, meet n chat with other Jimmies/Youngsters and have a try at our suitably oddball and unique grip strength game, The Plumb Bob of Death.

Slim Jim kept an eye on proceedings and ultimately gave a boney thumbs up....a chill and fun way to kick off 2026.

Also, congrats to Scott for taking home the invaluable prize with a lift of 31.125kg both left and right hands. Also, for beginning his brand new Summer Bodybuilding routine 2 hours later after I exhausted his forearms extensors....my bad :P
