DiamondBacks Hockey Club In 2013, the launch of a new name, colour palette, uniform & website will set the club apart from its competitors, taking its appeal to a new level!

DiamondBacks Hockey Club has a membership of over 300 and is based at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre where we play in the Southern Hockey League. Our club has a history going back over 70 years and we offer the opportunity to participate in club teams in all divisions from under 9’s to senior’s in both men’s and women’s leagues. The club offers a positive environment for both youth and adults and it prides itself on being family friendly, community orientated, while promoting player and club loyalty.

Congratulations to the Tassie lads including Oscar Pritchard making the Burras squad!

Hockey Australia is pleased to announce the Burras and Jillaroos squads for the 2026 Oceania Junior World Cup Qualifier in Redcliffe.

The selections follow recent training camps at Redcliffe Hockey Club and will mark the first time newly appointed head coaches Simon Orchard and Marcelle Keet take charge of their respective teams in competition.

Australia's U21 sides will take on New Zealand in a best-of-three series, with qualification for the 2027 FIH Junior World Cups on the line.

The 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup gets underway this weekend, with Australia’s Kookaburras and Hockeyroos ready to take on the world! 💪

Tasmania will have three of our own to cheer on, with Josh Beltz, Hayden Beltz and Jack Welch all representing the Kookaburras on the biggest stage. 💚💛
